The combination of high heat and anticipated low humidity has prompted the National Weather Service (NWS) to issue a red flag warning of heightened fire danger for the Santa Monica Mountains. Stay prepared by checking weather conditions, utilizing preparation resources on the LA County Fire Department website, knowing your zone, and checking for possible power safety shut-offs.
