Every day, 700 children in Ventura County need a loving foster home. Many foster families quit within the first year due to a lack of resources. Here is where The Mark & Jacob Iskander Foundation (www.markandjacobfoundation.org) steps in to help. This non-profit recently opened to connect children deserving of love and compassion with Ventura County residents willing to open their homes. Their mission is to support foster and respite parents, connecting them to resources, education, and more to help them on their journey to open their homes to children in need.

This event features delicious food from Boccaccio’s and the Landing Restaurants, inspiring messages from community leaders, plus exciting silent and live auctions with trips, tours, and unique experiences.

SCHEDULED CLOSURES

Highway 101 is open to traffic in both directions every night.

Northbound 101 will have two lanes closed, leaving two lanes open for traffic, after 10 p.m. starting as soon as Monday night, August 19 – the starting date is subject to change.

This two-lane closure on Northbound 101 will be repeated for approximately seven nights (Monday through Friday). Lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. daily.

On nights when northbound lanes are closed, the Northbound 101 Liberty Canyon On-Ramp will close after 7 p.m. and reopen by 6 a.m. the next morning.

After the final night of these closures on Northbound 101, a similar series of two-lane closures will start on Southbound 101:

For approximately seven nights (Monday through Friday), after 10 p.m. Southbound 101 will have two lanes closed, leaving two lanes open for traffic. Lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. daily.
On these nights, the Southbound 101 Liberty Canyon Off-Ramp will close after 7 p.m. and reopen by 6 a.m. the next morning.

Due to holiday travel over the Labor Day weekend, no freeway lane closures are scheduled on Friday, August 30 through Monday night, September 2.

If lanes or ramps must be closed, the normal schedule is as follows:

The Southbound 101 Liberty Canyon Off-Ramp and the Northbound 101 Liberty Canyon On-Ramp may be closed after 7 p.m. and will be open by 6 a.m. every morning except in unusual circumstances.
Starting at 7 p.m., one lane on Northbound 101 may be closed. Starting at 8 p.m., one lane on Southbound 101 may be closed.
Starting at 10 p.m., two lanes may be closed in either direction. A third lane may be closed southbound after 11 p.m., and northbound after 12 a.m. (midnight). At least one lane in each direction will be open for traffic.
By 5 a.m., all freeway lanes (excluding exit/entrance lane) will be open.
Daytime ramp closures may occur intermittently Mondays through Fridays:

The Southbound 101 Liberty Canyon Off-Ramp and the Northbound 101 Liberty Canyon On-Ramp may be closed intermittently between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The schedule is subject to change due to weather or operational reasons.

Yesterday, we had the groundbreaking for the Ladyface Greenway project that will enhance the future of Agoura Hills for our residents and visitors alike. The Greenway will capture and treat groundwater, and be a gathering place for cyclists, pedestrians, equestrians and everyone else. This project is the definition of collaboration with numerous parties involved. There are too many people to thank but you know who you are. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Heads up, Agoura Hills! Chesebro Rd. from Driver Ave to 5402 Chesebro Rd. will undergo street improvements including the installation of speed humps as well as roadway striping and signage. This partial closure will keep one lane open and is estimated to take 5 days.
