If you missed your chance to sign up, don't fret! We have recitals every 3 months. Our next recital will be in November, so there is plenty of time to prepare something.

This summer, Voice teacher Ellie Kelly is singing with Erin Nicole’s Centric Soul. Centric Soul is a Motown band covering classic R&B/Soul and Pop classics of the 60s, 70s, and 80s by artist such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, The Jackson Five, Chaka Khan & Rufus, Whitney Houston, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and many more.

Come join us this summer for our LAST CALL of ROCKIN’ ON THE RIVER!! We are retiring after this season, and it’s been a great run! Thanks for all your support and hope you come out all summer long to party with us. We will always be there if The Port Authority director Tom Brown should need us to assist in any new future events they plan on doing. Let’s make 2024 Rockin’ on the River the best ever! Hope to see you next week!

The Akron Symphony Orchestra’s CONCERTS FOR KIDS will have young audiences up and moving! This series of performances, kicking off in the spring of 2024, is specially designed for children, ages 2-6, but both the young and the young-at-heart will find this year’s concerts to be engaging, exciting, and entertaining. Our theme, “Music Moves Me,” is designed to show some of the many ways that music moves us – both physically and emotionally.

Tickets are $6 per person, with free admission for children 2 years old or younger, and are available online or by calling the Akron Symphony Ticket Office or visiting https://akronsymphony.org/concerts-for-kids/

Huge shout out and Congratulations to Ava Preston for her acceptance into The Juilliard School! We are so proud of the young musician you have become.

I am excited and honored to announce that this Fall I will be attending Juilliard for the Masters of Music program in Jazz Voice!

As many of you know, I was fortunate to complete three years of college during my high school years, which allows me to complete my undergraduate degree in Jazz Studies this Spring at Kent State University.

A huge thank you to Dominick Farinacci and the entire Tri-C Jazz Academy teachers and staff. Thank you to my amazing vocal teachers, LaTanya Hall, Emily Stauch, Kim Nazarian, Helen Welch and all the musicians who have supported me over the years. And thank you to Bobby Selvaggio, head of the jazz program at Kent State.

A special thank you to Theron Brown and Tony Troppe at BluJazz+ who gave me a stage to perform on at 10 years old! Last but not least, thank you to Kurt Reed at the Trillium Schools of Music.

Congrats to McCarthy on being invited to perform on Cleveland Irish radio for St. Patrick’s Day! The show starts at 10 a.m. March 17th, and she will be live on her YouTube channel, The Red Harper.

This will be her first public performance since 2019!
