It's "Wishlist Wednesday!" The items we have on our list are random, and changes are being made all the time based on needs and requests, seasons, and holiday gifts. Every item on our list helps StreetSoldiers Volunteers and our friends. Some who have apartments, some who stay in shelters, some who live in tents and others who live strictly on the streets. There's no item too big or too small to purchase, and if you're not able to make a purchase, that's OK!! You're helping us by just sharing our wishlist to your page and inspiring your friends to take a look!!!.
We thank you for your continued support and we appreciate your efforts!

Lack of access to menstrual products is unacceptable when there is more than enough for everyone. Period supplies are a basic human right!
Please help us meet this community need by donating menstrual supplies! A variety is great: pads, tampons, cups, new period underwear, etc. of different sizes helps meet different needs.
Donations can be dropped off at:

Tuesdays 2pm-5pm
Monetary donations also help us secure needed period supplies!

🎁 Friday night in Academy Park was full of hustle and bustle! Car after car pulled up filled with volunteers who unloaded gifts for our friends.
We were joined by a group from The Woman's Club of Albany who brought with them many many bags filled with food items and necessities. Also contributing to the gift giving was The Bethlehem Lutheran church quilters. They donated 2 bags full of beautiful quilts which were distributed in Albany and StreetSoldiers Rensselaer. From Slingerlands Elementary School, Bethenny’s 4th grade class along with 2nd grade buddies made lots of fun gift bags that were also shared in Rensselaer as well. Girl scout troop 1484 filled so many back packs and purchased toys for our friends. Jami dropped off boxes of gifts collected in her office. We received bags and boxes of new socks and clothing that were gifted this weekend.
Thank you Leslie for transporting our tables as well as jumping in to help.
As always, thank you to all of our volunteers, cooks and supporters who help us bring joy to our friends every month of the year!
Wishing you all a happy and healthy holiday season!🎉🎅🏼

Without a dresser, where do we store clothes? Without a table and chairs, where do we eat? Without a bed, where do we sleep? Without these basic essentials, the journey of turning an apartment into a safe and stable home is impossible. 🏠🛏 The Capital Region Furniture Bank helps to eradicate furniture poverty and help homeless households rebuild their lives by providing basic furnishings.
We accept a variety of furniture products, including mattresses and couches, to help our neighbors in need settle into their new homes. For a comprehensive list of accepted items or learn how you can support the Furniture Bank, visit https://loom.ly/7aaXisE.
We're looking for extra hands for Dec 15th. We're in need of someone to transport tables and some totes.
If you're able to help, please INBOX us to set up arrangements.
Tomorrow we open the door on a project years in the making. The Good Food Market, sponsored by CDPHP, will ensure fair access to fresh, top quality food with our all new Two-Tiered Pricing. Green Pricing is heavily discounted to support those in our community with limited income, those with significant health and education expenses and those receiving public assistance. Purple Pricing will be our standard cost which not only goes to support Capital Roots’ programs and services, but also local farms and those in your community who don’t normally have access to fresh foods. Ask for the price level that you feel comfortable with using. No questions asked. Learn more at www.capitalroots.org/good-food-market.
Free food and health/safety supplies every Monday, 5pm-7pm at the Albany Social Justice Center (33 Central Ave, Albany NY)!
Help yourself to produce, bread and supplies! No prepared meals this week as our cooks take a restorative break.
Everyone welcome! No questions asked, no documentation required, just show up and we'll be happy to set you up 🖤❤️

So thankful to my cousins Colleen and Michaela and and some of Colleen’s HR team at CDPHP for coming last night to help assemble the 84 Thanksgiving baskets going out today. They were an incredible help and made the process go so quickly!
We will continue to do deliveries through Monday night. It’s not too late to donate! Our biggest need right now is $10 gift cards for families that want to go and get their own turkeys to Hannaford or Market 32 , bags of potatoes and 2 liter bottle of drink. You can also Venmo donations to -Moffre. Thank you so much for the incredible support and helping make people’s Thanksgiving day! 💛
