Happy 2nd birthday, Coco Chanel! 🥳

We have had the pleasure of getting to know Coco over the last few months and have fallen completely in love with her (we think you will too off of her adorable birthday photos alone!). Coco is best known for her signature top knot. She comes in with it perfectly placed on top of her head and almost always leaves with it on the side of her head (the true “tail” sign she had a BLAST at daycare that day). Today, it served as the perfect birthday hat holder, and we’re obsessed ✨ When she isn’t running around with her friends in our Active Dog playgroup, Coco absolutely loves to be the center of our Handlers’ attention (cue her perfect dog modeling skills and pure enjoyment of dressing up for her photos today).

We offer walk-in nail trims Wednesday through Saturday from 10-12pm. Or if your pup’s paws are looking a bit too fuzzy, we do paw pad shave-outs and feet trimming by appointment. Earlier this morning, we emailed* our pet parents to notify them of some recent Canine Cough findings and important information to help us get through this time. Unfortunately, we have had a couple daycare parents kindly inform us of their dogs have come down with the common “doggy cold,” as well as received confirmation from a local vet that they have been seeing an increase in cases recently. When the inevitable happens, one of the first steps we take is to inform our clients so they are aware of what’s happening and can decide if they wish to continue services with us during this time.

Please visit the link in our bio for detailed information regarding our protocols and policies we put in place as soon as we start seeing Canine Cough cases in the area. While most cases resolve on their own, we take this illness very seriously and put many precautions in place to help avoid the spread as best as we can.

Today, we’re celebrating Sarah’s 🔟 year work-iversary with the Albany Pet Hotel! 🥳

Sarah has been with us since May 2014 where she started as an Assistant Manager. She has since worked her way up to our Facility Manager role and oversees the entire facility, staff, and pets. She is a pivotal figure in helping grow the business and always puts our high standards of quality care and communication with our clients at the top of her priority list. Sarah always knows how to have fun while maintaining a “tough gets going” attitude when the going gets ruff.

Sarah has been with APH the longest, has the best stories to share, has endured many remodels (just look at our old play yards in some of these photos 👀), and always remembers our former clients (and their beloved former dogs) when they call to let us know they have a new pet they’d like to bring in.

If you have had the pleasure of meeting Sarah, it may have been during an interview, while dropping off or picking up your pet when she’s playing Receptionist, or possibly for an update on your dog’s stay with us.

To be a mother is truly something special and powerful. These amazing and strong women work their absolute hardest here making sure all the animals are safe and well taken care of, and then they go home and do the same with their families! We could not be any prouder of these ladies, they are such wonderful people with kind hearts who deserve the world and more! We are so thankful you guys are a part of our team, we wouldn’t know what to do without you!💕
