2021 Summer Camp. Inside|Out Global Film Camp Instructors Gabriella White and Amari Archie leading campers in saying powerful affirmations out loud.
Laughter, hard work, a bit of struggle, stories...the first week of Bright Minds/Inside Out Global film camp came to an end on a high note! Students practiced interviewing each other, learning the importance of good questions, adequate lighting, and good camera angles. They’re working on the structure of story and created super-hero character profiles.
So proud of the leadership team that is working every day. But just look at these smiles!
Day 1 of Bright Minds Film Camp is in the books! Kids thought about superheroes and strengths; worked on story structure and analyzed a short film (“Ripped Together”) made in a IOG film camp several years ago. These kids are excited and engaged. Proud of Amari Archie and Gabby White for their leadership, and grateful to Danny Smith, Jr., for guiding the process.
Meeting with the Bright Minds tutoring staff today! What a dedicated group!! So excited to be around these amazing people.
Our film camp in collaboration with Bright Minds starts Monday!
We are excited! Camp starts next week.
Plans are progressing for the film arts track at Bright Minds Camp this summer! This quote expresses so well why giving kids the chance to create is important.

Our digital songwriting workshop has met for three weeks via Zoom! We’ve had a great intro to digital songwriting, the songwriting arc, as well as a guest appearance by musician/singer-songwriter Destiny Stone. Destiny shared about the songwriting process, and encouraged students to be courageous and put their music out there!
Yesterday we listened to two digital instrumental pieces created by students, as well as one song written and performed by a student. This week the students are working on developing these pieces further. They will decide which one will be the basis of a music video, created via Zoom!!
We’ll keep you updated on the progress!
Know any teens who would love to have some fun trying their hand at digital songwriting? This invitation is open to teens from Salisbury-Rowan County area but also for those from outside the Salisbury, North Carolina area. Please send in your request for a seat to [email protected] right away!

We can get caught up in huge political debates that are truly important in our time. But we must never lose sight of our teens; they need us to listen!!

Here is one of the Public Service Announcements created by teens in our program last Saturday!!
Va**ng is clearly an issue that is affecting our teens. This year was the first time the issue came to the forefront and made it into a PSA. Kids wanted to make the point that you can resist peer pressure and parents make sure to stay in contact and communication with your kids. Your kids need you!
From brainstorming to scriptwriting to selecting actors....it’s been a busy day so far at the Millennial Minis PSA Challenge! The crews are getting their gear together now to start filming!
IOG sent a team of three to partner with Next Generation Productions! Students are excited and engaged.

“The arts train the imagination. The imagination is vital for individual and social well-being because we can only make our own and others’ lives better if we can imagine a different, a better world. The arts are carriers of hope, and young people need hope like a fish needs unpolluted water.”
Pastors Anthony and Toni have been champions for Next Generation productions, along with the “missions” of Mission House! Mahogany Koontz is an “alumna” of the film programs. Congratulations to all three of you on this award! Looking forward to good things ahead in 2020 for you all and NextGen!
Congratulations to pastors Toni and Anthony and fellow missioner Mahogany Koontz on their being awarded the MLK Humanitarian Service Award for their work in the community. Our church is proud of you all!
Yes, there's hope!
