Burgundy Farm Summer Day Camp

Burgundy Farm Summer Day Camp staff were busy all last week training and getting ready to show all of our campers the greatest summer ever. We can't wait to see our camper tomorrow morning!

Due to a particularly wet and stormy forecast Burgundy is cancelling its Paperwork Playdate scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, May 18, from 10am-12pm. ALL camp families are now invited to attend an extended Paperwork Playdate on Saturday, June 1, from 9am - 1pm.

The newest member of the BFSDC Admin Team, Avocado, also enjoyed their time at the ACA TriState Camp Conference! They really enjoyed riding the trains and thought the registration process was very smooth.

The final Burgundy Branch Challenge was a counselor challenge! Counselors faced off in a paper airplane competition. There were many interesting designs (Photography actually had a picture of the Camp Director on theirs!!) but in the end their can only be one. Congrats to the Raccoons for winning their second, and this summers final, Burgundy Branch Challenge!! ✈️ 🦝 ✈️🦝✈️🦝

One of the best traditions at camp, the Talent Show. And todays shows did not disappoint! We had dancing, singing, gymnastics, comedy, magic, piano players, skits, and even an eyebrow trick! Congrats to all the campers who performed and thank you to the whole camp community and parents for being such a great and supportive audience. Burgundy truly does have talent!!

What an amazing Burgundy Branch Challenge we had this morning! The Costume Contest was very hard for our judges to call as there were so many great costumes. In the end the Branch was awarded to Burgundy Outdoors, and it was just in the nick of Mime!!

Alexandria Children’s Theatre campers put on two great shows today! Parents and fellow campers enjoyed the singing, dancing, comedy, and overall performances of the ACT casts. Congratulations to the campers and counselors of ACT! Bravo, Bravo! 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻❤️

The Raccoons, Dino’s, Hawks, and Eagles put on a wonderful carnival this afternoon! Campers enjoyed playing all the games, getting their faces painted, and even dunking their favorite counselors (sort of). So much fun!!

The Burgundy Derby was held today as the MakerSpace campers showed off their cars on the track! Campers loved watching the exciting races. There were fine very impressive designs on display and some very, very fast cars. Congrats to all the MakerSpace campers on a wonderful event!

Summer Camp birthdays are the best. Thank you campers and counselors!!!❤️❤️

Burgundy Outdoors had another great cookout and overnight on campus last night. They swam, enjoyed a campfire and S’mores, did a night hike, and bonded as a group. Congratulations Burgundy Outdoors!!!

There were a lot of tie-dye parties on Tuesday at Burgundy! Don’t forget to wear the finished product on Friday!!

Another great Burgundy Branch Challenge today! The Eagles win the dance contest and take ownership of the Branch! Congratulations to everyone who participated! Until next Wednesday…

Today was the last Morning Assembly for Coach Steve. While he may work for Excite Soccer, over the last 9 years at Burgundy he has truly become part of the family. Thank you Coach Steve for your hard work, dedication, commitment to children, and your friendship. Burgundy wishes you and your family the best!! ❤️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 ❤️

The 2nd Annual Counselor Kickball Classic was a huge success! Team Cookie Monster edged out Team Dye Hard in a tight 9-0 battle. Campers and counselors all chipped in to make it a fun event for the whole camp! The slip’n’slide on the 3rd base didn’t hurt either.
