Announcing: Department-level First-Place Winning Entries of the 2023-2024 Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest!

Each weekday at noon and 3 p.m. central time, we will post one state’s winning entry. This will be followed by the Department first-place 3-Dimensional Patriotic Art pieces. During National Convention, we will announce the National winners of these two scholarship contests in addition to the National winners of Illustrating America, our grades K-8 art competition.

Please keep in mind that these artists are students ranging in age from 5 to 18. They have all worked very hard on their art and deserve to be applauded for their time, talent and display of patriotism. We appreciate your support for these students!

Today kicks off National Flag Week! With Flag Day coming up on Friday, this is the perfect time to honor the Flag.

You can do so at home by making sure your Flag is flying without rips or fading, either lighting it at night or taking it down and not flying another Flag higher.

You can do so in your communities by offering to go into schools to educate local youth about what the stars and stripes represent and how the Flag has changed since Betsy Ross and the Revolution, or by holding Flag retirement ceremonies for those that are tattered and torn, or by offering to replace Flags at local businesses that have seen better days.

And you can do so online, by taking and uploading your pictures of the Flag flying proudly! Post to social media with the hashtag – we would love to share.
