ODC Network's Outdoor Discovery Center visits monthly to provide our students interactive experiences with animals 🐍🐰 and 🌲nature. Thank you ODC for bringing theses experiences to our students!

Our Speech Team Rocks! They have developed a Speech Playground for fun and educational experience tailored to all learners. Activities include mini-golf, sprinkler play, bubbles, beach balls, and more with built in emergent literacy practices.

OAC is getting ready for Festival of the Arts on Friday!! The Artists Creating Together Cube and the ISD Book Bike have arrived! This day is dedicated to educate, enrich and entertain our students. Students will participate in workshops, games, indoor and outdoor activities, while learning from a "hands-on" approach!

Today was our OAC Academic Olympics for the students in Hollemans, Rose, Ebbot and Hedberg's classrooms!

Students and their family's, together with staff celebrate the end of the year showcasing students skills.

Games highlighting core vocabulary and math punctuated the day:
Obstacle course relay with core vocabulary
Whipped cream pie in the face(small or big)
Super soaker (math skills)
And Pool ball water toss(core vocabulary)

Smiles and laughs from everyone were a part of this fun and rewarding day.

Sibshops are a nationwide program specially designed to support siblings of those with special needs. Siblings often have the longest relationship with those who have a disability and tend to take on the role of caregiver to their brother or sister with special needs as adults. They also take on a lot of the stress and worry as children too. Sibshops are a fun, safe, and supportive opportunity for sibs to spend time having fun with other sibs who “get it”.

We are blessed to have a gifted Sibshop facilitator here in Ottawa County, Andrèa Vugteveen.
