Wrestling works!
Coached one of our youngest hammers in his very first open tournament this weekend. Ayden wrestled tough and earned himself a spot in the round of 8. There were some extremely good local wrestlers proud of him for stepping up and trying his best. He had a lot of support from some of the best wrestlers in PA and the country! Thank you .condo .fritz8 and and of course our coach
That’s a wrap for the season and what a terrific season it was! Today at South Philly HS, our athletes earned themselves a bunch of wins over very tough opponents. We are super proud of all of our athletes for stepping up and stepping onto the mat in their very first season. Huge thanks to and for their support and guidance as well as our coaches and support crew in and .judd
It’s been a tremendous experience and really look forward to next season!
Our final practice before the big trip to Philly for wrestling day was a lot of fun. Coaching these young athletes has been a great and rewarding experience. There’s nothing like the power of wrestling.
What a great time last night with a visit from . He came by to meet with the athletes, share some wisdom, and the kids absolutely loved it. We can’t thank him enough for giving us his time and hope to do it again real soon!
Our young athletes had a great time today and we can’t thank Coach McLean, his staff, and his team enough for inviting us to their home and showing our athletes what it means to be a Mule!
Great time, great wrestling, great people.
Our last practice before Christmas was an absolute blast. The drive and effort these athletes have been bringing has been tremendous. No better way to celebrate! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
The 3rd Annual Joe Sommer Memorial Golf Tournament was held on September 14th. HT Lyons, Joe’s former company, holds this golf outing each year in his honor. Their yearly goal is to generate money in Joe’s memory for the benefit of Lehigh Valley’s charitable groups who help others in our area. Everyone who knew Joe, knows that this is the best way to continue Joe’s legacy of always helping people in need.
This year Austin was kind enough to include us in the list of charitable organizations benefiting from this tournament. Their generous donation outfitted approximately 40 first-time wrestlers, boys and girls, Grades 3rd – 5th, with uniforms for their Beat the Streets Wrestling Program 2019/2020 Season.
Last night we gave them each their very own Central Elementary Eagles Wrestling T-shirt, Sweatshirt and Shorts. The kids were delighted! They were so thrilled to have something brand-new, of their very own. So many of them asked us if it was actually theirs and they could really keep it.
Wrestling was one of Joe’s passions and I cannot think of a better way to honor his memory.
A great big thank you to HT Lyons and !
What an amazing night at the Lehigh vs Penn State match in front of a record breaking crowd at Stabler Arena. We can’t thank everyone at enough for making this happen for our young athletes Jeinilys, Jinlex, and Makayla. These girls wanted to see a “real” wrestling match and what better than Lehigh vs PSU! Along with the match came a full tour of the amazing Caruso Wrestling Complex by Lehigh wrestler and impromptu tour guide . Big thank you to all the wrestlers that took time out to talk about wrestling and the importance of doing well in school. and Penn State National Champion . Of course we had to end the night with the full experience, a slice at Sotto Santi! Thank you everyone!!
Another terrific practice in the books ✅
All of the young athletes are working hard and eager to excel. Through grit and determination, anything is possible!
Our first practice on the mats was a giant leap forward! The kids are getting it and picking up the fundamentals fast. Big thanks to a couple of athletes for helping out.
Another day of practice in the books. With the athletes broken up into groups, coach went over the basics as well as the rules of the sport. Thursday we begin work on the mat!
We kicked things off yesterday with our first practice of the season. 44 young athletes came out with 41 of them having no experience in wrestling! Great turnout and not an easy decision to make but one that was surely benefit them for years to come.
@ CentralElementarySchool
Had a great, informative time with an awesome community of coaches and mentors leading the way to be a positive force in the lives of student athletes.

What an amazing turnout today! Over 120 students came out for our first meeting with new BTS Head Coach . If the enthusiasm and excitement from the students is any indicator of how this season will be, it’s going to be a great time.
Be sure to follow us here, on Twitter, and on Facebook to keep up to date on events and follow the journey of these young athletes 💪🏻🤼♂️🤼♀️
