Meet Melinda, our newest group exercise instructor!

My name is Melinda Eckert, I am 34 with 2 daughters, Raelyn 7 and Maesyn 5. My Husband Ryan and I have been married 9 years, together 18! I enjoy all things spooky, im obessed with TJ Maxx, a maxxanista if you will. I run on caffeine and side quests! I have 2 cats, spooky and pugslee and 2 pups, roxy and gus. My love for fitness started after I had my oldest daughter. I struggled with weight my whole life but especially during pregnancy. I have been a certifed personal trainer for 4 years and a group fitness instructor for 3! I have a wide spectrum of classes and cannot wait to get coaching!

How to Participate:

STEP 1: REGISTER
Visit the Membership Desk or go to ymcastark.org/programs. It's just $5 for Members aged 12 and up!

STEP 2: JOIN ON THE APP
Sign up for the challenge on our YMCA360 App. If you don’t have it yet, download for free:

STEP 3: LOG WORKOUTS

Kia is our youth Trivia winner this week. We also had a little help with cleaning the room this week. Youth taking on keeping their space clean.

Jimmy Jones has been a member of our Y for two years. He initially came to join the Silver Sneakers program after experiencing a heart attack that resulted in two stents and a triple bypass surgery. His doctors encouraged him to lose some weight and exercise more. Now, he and his wife come three days per week to exercise with our Silver Sneakers program.
