Altoona English and Culture Club

Our first night back for Altoona English & Culture Club ESL for the 2023-2024 school year. 17 new students from China, Ukraine, Mexico, El Salvador, Yemen…to name just a few. This is our largest group of new students in the 6 years that we have been doing this! Come join us!

Another ESL Teacher training session has been completed! Churches in Bedford, McKeesport, and Latrobe are being equipped to show Christ’s love to the sojourners in their community. We are excited to start our new school year in Altoona beginning Monday, September 11th at 6pm.

Winding down our fifth year of ESL classes with an appreciation dinner for all our volunteers followed by a last class for the spring. Safe travels and praying God’s blessing over Kyla as she travels to Italy to teach ESL!! This year we made friends with over 40 students from 10 countries. Thank you to all our volunteers. Thank you to all our international friends who are willing to accept our friendship and share their faith and cultures. We hope you find America a place where you feel welcomed. 💜
