"Corrine was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Her home visits helped prepare my birth preferences so that I truly felt empowered in my decision making at the hospital. Her tools for comfort measures allowed me to have the natural birth of my first baby that I was hoping for — with minimal medical intervention! Her hip squeezes alone were worth her services! Corrine’s dedication to the mother is unmatched! She has checked in multiple times during postpartum and recovery, emphasizing her attention to the well being of her clients. I couldn’t recommend her enough! Thank you Corrine!"

🥗 Self-Care Tip: Eat Well in Pregnancy 🤰
Nourish yourself and your baby with a balanced diet filled with colorful fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Remember to stay hydrated by sipping water throughout the day.
Eating well during pregnancy provides essential nutrients for you and your baby's health. It supports energy levels, aids in digestion, and contributes to overall well-being. Make each meal a celebration of health and vitality for both of you! 🍎🥑
Read ‘Real Food For Pregnancy’ as a resource for pregnancy (one of our favorites) 👉 https://a.co/d/dwW2UUr
Reach out to a local nutritionist or dietitian for specific dietary needs. Did you know most insurances cover visits with a nutritionist? 👇

🤱 Early Breastfeeding Facts! 🌟
Did you know that colostrum, the first milk your body produces (starting around 16 weeks in pregnancy), is packed with all the essential nutrients and vitamins your baby needs in the first few days of life? This special milk also helps strengthen your baby's immune system. Colostrum flows slowly from your ni***es, allowing your baby to learn how to breastfeed effectively. Once your placenta detaches from the uterus it signals for your body to start the transition to white milk - this process can take 3-5 days after birth, but that's okay your body was designed to nourish your baby with colostrum during that time!
Ever wondered how big a newborn's stomach is? Here's a guide for the first few days:
🍒 Day 1: Size of a cherry - 5-7 mL or 1-1.4 teaspoons per feed
🌰 Day 2: Size of a walnut - 22-27 mL or 0.75-1 ounce per feed
🍑 Day 3: Size of an apricot - 45-60 mL or 1.5-2 ounces per feed
🥚 Day 4: Size of a large egg - 80-150 mL or 2.5-5 ounces per feed
Trusting your body's ability to feed your baby is crucial. Avoid overfeeding/supplementing if medically possible and seek expert care from a lactation specialist both during pregnancy and after returning home from the hospital. They can provide invaluable support to help you navigate the breastfeeding journey! 🤗💕

🌟Quick Tip:
Did you know that it is standard hospital practice to delay cord clamping? Most hospitals delay clamping the umbilical cord until after 1 minute.
But, evidence suggests that waiting until the cord stops pulsing, if medically possible, can provide important benefits for your baby's health. Delaying cord clamping allows more blood to transfer from the placenta to your baby, boosting iron levels and reducing the risk of anemia.
Consider adding delayed cord clamping until the cord stops pulsing to your birth plan. 💫
