Hello all! Heather Haller here. You know that I specialize in serving those going through the fertility and/or family building process, as well as providing support for perinatal folks during healthy and high risk pregnancies, childbirth prepration, and new parenting. I want to assure you that I am actively involved in the community and I'm working on my MSW to make me even stronger in this area.

had a great experience today at the First Annual Merrimack Valley Perinatal Health Summit! Had a total fan girl moment as Jamie Belsito, the Founder and Director of Policy for the Maternal Mental Heath Leadership Alliance, did the Keynote speech. She is a powerhouse - total mover and shaker, and I got to chat with her and she introduced me to a group I might be able to work with near me. Thoroughly enjoyed a presentation on the importance of fathers in perinatal care with Chris White of The Children's Trust,, another in Birth Storytelling as a way to identify trauma with the super informative Hannah Tello, and of course I was practically waving pom-poms for a fabulous presentation by Marissa Hathaway, the founder of The Lemon Grove, a group of doulas, educators, and advocates who specialize in work with those going through the fertility journey snd ARTs as well as helping them through pregnancy, birth, and post partum. Marissa Hathaway has blown my mind teaching me about being a fertility doula and I hope to be able to provide some hypnosis workshops for them! What an incredible group of dedicated providers attending this event - nurses, doulas, midwives, counselors, educators, Early Intervention programs, all serving a highly diverse population. Hats off to you all for caring for families in so many ways and making this world a better place.

As National Infertility Awareness Week comes to a close, the fertility journey of those facing this challenge continues. This week we've talked about the importance of infertility awareness, how to be a good support for those going through it, how to survive the tough Two Week Wait between treatment and results information - for both the person going through it and their partner, what the mind-body connection is and why it is so important for success, and lastly, today, I want to offer you how the mind-body connection can be strengthened and enhanced, and how fertility treatment success itself is enhanced, through hypnosis.Hypnosis is one of the main techniques I use as part of my practice at Fertile Beginnings, and that is with good reason. The article I wrote below explains this best

As a woman who has been through the fertility journey myself - including multiple IVFs and all the testing and frustration to get there, I wish so much that I had this type of support when I was trying. That is why becoming not only a Certified Professional Hypnotist and Consulting Hypnotist was important to me, but gaining certification in hypnofertility was a calling for me in my life. Know that you are not alone, that you are worthy of support and assistance, and that you can and will succeed in the right time and the right way for you. Hold that in your heart.

End of the business days of the week but not the last day of National Infertility Awareness Week! Today I'm sharing the first of two blogs about the importance of Mind-Body Connection in successful fertility treatment. Day for of National Infertility Awareness Week - in the US and in Canada! Yesterday I posted a Self-care guide for those in the infamous Two Week Wait - the usually nail-biting time between an embryo transfer or treatment and finding out if implantation has happened. So often the only one visible as dealing with infertility is the individual woman receiving treatments, but this is highly misleading. Often partners may play a medical role in the infertility, and they always are dealing with the emotions of the treatments for themselves as well as the stress their partner is going through. I firmly believe that a supportive partner can be invaluable to the success of fertility treatment - and much of that comes from a mind-body, support, and protective place of mind. This week is National Infertility Awareness Week(NIAW)! As a professional member of RESOLVE, The National Infertility Association, I, Heather Haller, am proud to use my voice to speak out in support of of those facing challenges in creating or expanding their family as well as advocate for supportive policies for and clear public education on the issues faced by these people, regardless of where they are in their journey and how they choose to resolve it (pun intended!).

I will be sharing a blog or video for those facing this challenge or for those who want to support someone going through it eery day this week. There are a whole range of virtual and in-person events you can attend on the NIAW calendar, but I was particularly thrilled to see that on Thursday at 1PM EST they will be doing a live Instagram presentation on "The Importance of Finding Mental and Emotional Support During Your Infertility Journey." This is my bailiwick and where I can help you most!

Tuesday, April 25, you can participate in virtual Federal Advocacy Day, in which RESOLVE in partnership with the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), will gather hundreds of advocates from across the country will meet with their legislators to share their stories, expertise, and ask for support for important issues, like increased access to family building options and financial relief. The website even has an e-mail that will go to your Representatives and Senators notifying them of your support and listing the specific bills and programs that can support those facing infertility and the many health issues related to it.
