What a great start to our Spirit Week!
We loved seeing all of our superheroes and princesses!
The Explorers love having independent time!
In Montessori, the pouring activities aim to encourage precise movement, concentration, confidence, and independence by learning to do this task independently. This pouring activity provides children with the opportunity to practice their fine motor skills as well!
Our little scientists experimented with the concept of density for this month's STEM.
The class had 3 water bottles, one filled with baking soda water, another with salt water, and the last with just water.
Many objects that sink in freshwater will float in salt water! Objects float in baking soda water because baking soda is a kind of salt. It dissolves in water to make the water more dense, just like table salt does.

The Artist of the Month for June is Henri Matisse!
Henri Matisse is well-known for his use of bold colors and he was the founder of an art movement called Fauvism.
The students were able to create their own drawings using bold color contrasts.

Our students love beating the heat by playing car wash!
The students grab a bucket and some soapy water and bring their cars to the car wash!
It is so much fun to witness their imagination take flight.
To finish up May, our Pioneers enjoyed learning about the incredible country of Australia. They explored landmarks, food, animals, and language!
They loved being able to recreate their own Australian flag! ๐ฆ๐บ
Our little Stars are learning about the ocean while reading "I am the Biggest Thing in the Ocean"! ๐ฆ๐ณ
This is the perfect book to introduce different underwater animals and wildlife in the ocean. The students can also learn about the different sizes of animals living in the ocean and what truly is the largest thing in the ocean.
The Firecrackers have successfully created their very own garden!
The children got the opportunity to plant their very own onions! The onions have thrived significantly ever since they were first planted! The Month of May brought a lot of learning to our Firecrackers!
We can't wait to see what June has to offer!
Our TK and K classes had so much at Tanaka Farms today!
They got to take a hayride around the farm, pick their own fruit, and even got to take home some cucumbers!
Another AMA-zing field trip in the books!
Our Explorers had so much fun making flower art using sunflower seeds!
The kids got to choose their favorite flower colors and stick the sunflower seeds on to create their own flowers!
They even used cupcake liners to make their flowers stand out on the page!
Our Rockets enjoy taking time and getting comfy with a good book!
They love having their little reading nook and quiet time throughout the day.๐๏ธ
Our students had the opportunity to see butterflies emerge from their chrysalis for science! The students then drew some unique butterflies of their own for art.
You can see step by step from drawing with pencil, outlining with a black marker, and then coloring using vibrant spring markers.
The students loved using their creativity!
For Art time, our Patriots worked on their Directed Drawings. It helps our students follow directions and become their own little artist!
They made their directed drawing version inspired by Artist of the Month, Georgia OโKeefe, flower painting.
Our babies put on their safety goggles and lab coats and discovered how to mix colors using ice cubes!
As the ice cubes melted, the Stars saw how the dyed ice cubes mixed in color. This also allowed them to feel something solid become liquid!
