On this Teacher Spotlight Tuesday, we celebrate Mrs. Donna Wofford, 6th grade Math! A founding member of our school, when you think of Glenview, you think of Mrs. Wofford. Tough and rigorous, she is an institution on our 6th grade hallway. Mrs. Wofford has an unrivaled commitment to ensure that her students are prepared, successful, and mature in their ownership of their education. Earlier this year, we recognized students who earned perfect scores on the SC Ready ELA or Math exam last spring. Recently, Anderson County School District 5 sent over some cool hardware for these students in further recognition of their outstanding academic achievements. These students recieved academic excellence pins. Students can earn various pins throughout their entire academic career to recognize all that they have accomplished. We are so proud of our students and incredibly grateful for district leadership for celebrating our students!

Great to have Frios Gourmet Pops on campus today! Over 125 of our 6th grade students earned a special treat for their academic performance! Cool flavors and the students loved it, and so did the Grinch! Come back soon! Anderson County School District 5

Grinch at Glenview was so much fun! He hung out in whoville with the 6th graders, took over the front office, and ate lunch with his favorite people. Grinch even got a student ID so he wouldn't get in trouble with Mr. Roberts. Anderson County School District 5

Students can also bring in money to their homeroom teacher. All proceeds will support Glenview families in need this holiday season!

We had a great time celebrating our 8th grade students who made Jr Scholar based on their PSAT scores! We hosted members of the T.L. Hanna counseling department for a lunch and learn with these students to discuss AP course opportunities, and the college and career pathways. Anderson County School District 5

It's ladies night at Glenview! Our girls basketball team plays at 5:30 pm and our step team will take the floor as well! Go ladies! All of these amazing young ladies have worked so hard this year! Anderson County School District 5

Please join us and participate in our 2nd annual "Winterpalooza", sponsored by our Beta Club. These events are designed to raise money in order to support Glenview students at Christmas. Lots of ways to participate:

1. Candy grams for $1 each day during extended homeroom.
2. Holiday hat day on Tuesday, December 12 for $1.
3. Hot chocolate for $1 on Friday, December 8th.

Congratulations to 8th grader Ellie Mears who competed in the TYR Meet of Champs this past weekend in Brentwood, TN. She achieved her 1st South Carolina State Qualifying time and finished 7th in the 100 butterfly. We are proud of Ellie for representing Anderson, SC at this regional meet! Go Ellie!
