Please see the following message from Linn Kracht LJLCA President for end of the chapel year activities:
Friends,
As you know this past spring we remodeled the parsonage. We have heard from many of the pastors that it is 'really nice'. The project was possible because of a match of $50,000 from the Lutheran Foundation. We have been saying that those who would like will be able to walk through the parsonage sometime this summer.
Well, we have now set the date for the open house (walk through). It will be Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024 after the worship service. That day there will also be donuts and refreshments instead of Sunday, August 25, 2024.
If you have friends or family that might not receive this email please share this information with them.
Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024 is the last worship service for the 96th year. We hope that you were able to join us at the worship services often this past summer and that they were spiritually rewarding.
On Monday, Sept 2, 2024 we will 'close up' all the facilities beginning at 8 a.m. After closing up we will have the Fall membership meeting. It will start between 8:45 - 9 a.m.. If you have an item that the membership should discuss please share that with me and if appropriate I will include in the agenda.
Is there anyone that you know that might want to be a member? We are always looking for new members. Have them contact me if interested.
Thanks for your loyalty and support through the past years and especially for the 96th year.
Blessings and peace.

Dear LJLCA members,
It is time again to plan and prepare for the 96th season of offering worship to the Lake James community residents and visitors. The first order of business is to plan the cleanup of the Chapel grounds and facilities. We have scheduled the cleanup for SATURDAY, MAY 4, 2024, at 9:00 A.M. The rain date will be Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 9 a.m. Please plan to attend if you are able and bring any yard tools and other supplies you feel necessary that might be helpful for ground maintenance and facility cleanup.
Power washing will be done Thursday, May 16, 2024 beginning at 10 a.m. Sarah's cleaning to do complete cleaning on Sunday, May 19, 2024 starting at 9 a.m.
The 2024 Spring membership meeting is scheduled for Sunday, May 5, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Chapel. Please plan to join us. There will be an opportunity to tour the newly remodeled parsonage after the meeting.
