Celebrating Forensic Interviewer’s Day on August 17th!

On August 17th, we are celebrating Forensic Interviewer’s Day to raise awareness and show appreciation for the important work they do across all the Child Advocacy and Child Protection Centers in Iowa. Forensic Interviewers play a crucial role in gathering evidence and obtaining accurate information from children of alleged abuse. When dealing with traumatized kids, their specialized skills help gather essential evidence, protect the rights of children and families involved, and directly impacts our justice system. The Chapter wants to thank all our forensic interviewers for the work they do and express gratitude for their dedication and professionalism.

We are celebrating May 10th Mental Health Provider Day!

Iowa Chapter of Children's Advocacy Centers (ICCAC) is honoring the mental health professionals who play a key role in treating children and families who have experienced child abuse and neglect by recognizing May 10th as Mental Health Provider Day! During May’s Mental Health Awareness month, ICCAC would like to honor the mental health providers across the state that work within and with our Child Protection and Child Advocacy Centers in providing children and families with essential mental health services to heal from their trauma experiences. We want every mental health provider to know that all you do is recognized, appreciated and makes a difference in the lives you touch. Thank you so very much!!!
