Providing Support
After experiencing Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), the recovering patient might need time to regain his/her independence. Tiffany's Compassionate Care Rehabilitation can help provide support and assistance to patients while they recover.
Physical Symptoms of Moderate to Severe TBI
Moderate to severe TBI makes the patient exhibit severe physical symptoms. These symptoms may appear within the first hours to days after the incident causing the head injury:
a. Loss of consciousness (could last for hours)
b. Vomiting or nausea
c. Convulsions or seizures
d. Clear fluids draining from nose or ears
e. Weakness or numbness in fingers and toes
These symptoms need to be addressed immediately as they can worsen the patient's condition.
Sensory Problems
A mild traumatic brain injury can cause sensory problems such as blurred vision, sensitivity to light, or ringing in the ears. If the person who encountered an accident shows these signs, he or she should be brought to the hospital.
Meeting Your Non-Medical Needs
Focusing on the recovery process should be the focus of a person who suffered from traumatic brain injury. While you are recovering, allow us to take care of your non-medical needs with our attending care services.
Therapeutic Activities
The recovery process from a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) should include therapeutic activities that help the patients regain their independence. It should include activities like physical therapy sessions to regain physical strength, psychological care and trauma recovery to process the accident healthily, music and art therapy to allow them to have a creative outlet for their emotions, and social skills training to make them ready for their integration back to the society. These activities are part of the holistic recovery process that is ideal for people who experienced TBI.
Recovering Through Music
More than just putting us in a good mood, music can help heal the brain. It restores some of the cognitive, sensory, and motor functions of the brain. Indeed, music as a healing therapy can effectively improve overall brain functions.
Helping You Get Back
Are you wondering if you can gain back those skills and abilities you once had and be as independent as you can be before getting an accident? If a traumatic brain injury has shifted your life to go upside down, you can get back on your feet again. We have semi-independent living programs that aim to holistically improve quality of life. Learn what's included in this program by sending us a message.
Some Causes of TBI
Head injuries can come from a variety of situations - it can be from a vehicular accident, a result of falling, or a sports-related accident. Such things can damage the brain, and this damage is called a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Attending to Your Needs
Some of the effects after experiencing an accident can cause partial to full downtime, which may require assistance from someone. Whether it be medical and non-medical, we are here to attend to those needs with care and professionalism.
Encouraging Good Hygiene
It can be difficult to practice and even maintain good personal hygiene when you experience a traumatic brain injury. It becomes a challenge to fully care for yourself due to the challenges, especially physical hindrances brought about by TBI. To help traumatic brain injury patients keep good personal hygiene, we have services designated to attend to hygiene needs. Contact us for hygiene support.
Helping You Socialize
After a traumatic injury, it can be difficult to socialize with others again. As social skills are affected, we aim to help work on this area through our social skills training. Improve your social skills with us! Contact us now.

Safe Transportation to Appointments
After sustaining a traumatic brain injury (TBI) either caused by a vehicular accident or an unfortunate fall, you may need to go back and forth to rehabilitation centers to receive care and treatment (that is when you stay at home to rest and recover instead in a rehabilitation center). We understand that you may still deal with the trauma of driving on your own, thus, our trusted transportation services are what you need. We can safely drive you to your appointments on time.
