On this Memorial Day, the Lodge remembers all those who have lost their lives in military service to our country.

We also remember Scott R. Ball, who was killed in action, in 2007. MSgt. Ball was a Lower Merion Officer, prior to joining PSP.

The annual FOP Memorial Mass will be held at St. Coleman’s Church, Ardmore, May 13th at 8am. We look forward to seeing everyone.

Last night Chris Flanagan, long time FOP member (Lodge 27), passed the title Chief of Narberth Ambulance, to Lodge 28 Brother John Mick. The Lodge congratulates Brother Mick and looks forward to working in partnership, as we have with Chief Flanagan for many years.
The Lodge regretfully reports the death of Retired Lower Merion Township Police Officer Grady Walters on Monday, November 13, 2023.
A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at McConaghy Funeral Home 328 Lancaster Avenue, Ardmore, PA 19003. A prayer service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial services are at 11:45 a.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery at 415 East Athens Avenue Ardmore, PA 19003.
There will be a mass at Annunciation BVM church in Havertown, on Friday November 24th at 830am, in memory of brother Dennis DeFrancesco. All are welcome to attend.
Thanks to all those who support Lower Merion’s Leg of the Special Olympics Torch Run especially our runners this year: Jo McBride (our honorary captain), Matt Freind, Justin Judge, Ed Sarama, Shawn Clifford, Matt Callahan, Casey Healy, Caesar Zavala, Greg Pitchford, Pete Sharpe, Darren Swain and Josue Gerena. A special thank you to: State FOP President Joe Regan for attending, Union Firehouse for the use of their facilities, Officer Cursio and EDO for making Mel’s day with kisses, and to LMPD for the support and allowing our guys to run.
