Every driver that's using our technology is aware that their driving is being assessed and rated.”
The data is used to determine a driver’s likelihood of getting into a crash, based on risky events such as speeding, aggressive driving, and emergency braking. After every trip, drivers receive feedback on their driving to understand how risky their trip was. The data is used to be able lower rates and ultimately reduce the risk of an accident. Following Michigan Governor Whitmer’s signing into law a ban on hand-held electronic device usage, the data collected has shown safety improvements. Distracted driving went down almost 12% and 13.5% in months one and two, respectively.
