This week is National Infertility Awareness, a topic near to our hearts as 1 in 6 people are affected by infertility. Here are three suggestions for when to seek help from a fertility specialist:
(1) If you are under 35 years old with regular menstrual cycles and no pregnancy after one year of unprotected in*******se.
(2) If you are 35-39 years old with regular menstrual cycles and no pregnancy after six months of unprotected in*******se.
(3) If you are 40+ years old and desire pregnancy an immediate evaluation is recommended.
Additionally, if you have irregular or absent periods, PCOS, endometriosis, a history of two or more miscarriages, or other known issues impacting your fertility we advise seeking help as soon as possible.
We are here to help and can offer referral options for specialists if indicated. You are not alone.

It's our wonderful midwife, Lisa Holt's, birthday month! Lisa has been a nurse since 1986, and a midwife since 1999. She and Dr. Samantha Anderson started working together in 2000! Lisa provides excellent bedside and in-office care for her patients and truly goes above and beyond. She is a valuable member of our team!

October is breast cancer awareness month and we’ve been wearing a lot of pink! Here is your reminder from Dr. Samantha Anderson and our partner Dr. Brad Moore of Haven OBGYN to get your screening done!

Meet our newest provider! We are thrilled to welcome Tega Ojagbeghru, APRN, FNP-C to our practice! Tega attended Georgia State University for both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing degrees. She began her career in women’s health five years ago as a labor & delivery nurse at Northside Hospital, specializing in high-risk obstetrics.

Tega’s deep passion for women’s health allows her to provide the best possible patient care for all. Tega believes in using the most up-to-date evidence-based practices to assess and manage changing health patterns in women. When not working, Tega enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and participating in volunteer work around the Atlanta area. She is a wonderful addition to our team!

Arbor ObGyn updated their business hours.

Due to predicted worsening weather conditions, we will be closing at 11:30 am today. If you have an afternoon appointment, please call us so that we can get you scheduled into a different appointment.

Our phones lines are now working again so anyone who needs to should be able to get through to our answering service tonight. We will be open tomorrow (hopefully with the phones still working).

We are very sorry for all the confusing messages that went out to our patients earlier today. We were trying to notify everyone that the phone lines were down but that in the event of labor or an emergency, that the hospital would still be able to contact us via cell phone. Unfortunately, a cancellation message was accidentally sent out. Hopefully everyone has now received a message saying that it was an error and that their appointment is not cancelled. We are sorry for the error.

Unfortunately, our phones at the office are not working. We have contacted Comcast and they are trying to resolve the problem. You can still contact us via the patient portal if it is not urgent. If you have a true emergency that can not wait or think you are in labor please proceed to Northside Hospital. They will be able to reach the providors via cell phones or pagers.

Welcome to puberty. Prepare for a large amount of eye rolling, emotional outbursts and thoughts of running away - and that is just the parents:) Puberty can be a confusing and challenging time for both moms and daughters. Unfortunately, for many pregnant women, morning sickness is not MORNING sickness, it is all day nausea, vomiting, fatigue and feeling horrible. A majority of pregnant women experience some degree of morning sickness. The severity varies from one person to another and even from one pregnancy to another in the same person.
