This week, Israeli American Council - IAC Atlanta hosted at congregation Or Hadash ATL Israeli photojournalist ืืื ืงืืจื Ziv Koren for an exhibition and lecture about his work to document the October 7th attack, its aftermath and the Swords of Iron war.
With so many lies and denials being spread since October 7th, documenting and sharing the truth is crucial, for today and for generations to come, making Ziv Korenโs work so vital.
Consul General Anat Sultan-Dadon shared brief opening remarks alongside Atlanta Jewish Times publisher & owner Michael Morris.
Mr. Koren shared his unique experience documenting the horrors of October 7th and its aftermath. His work and impressions from documenting October 7th can be found in his newly published book:

On October 27th, the Atlanta community held an October 7th commemoration on Israelโs designated Hebrew national day of mourning.
The event was held at The Weber School by Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta in partnership with Israel in Atlanta & many community organizations.
The event included exhibits related to October 7th and our 101 hostages who still remain in torturous captivity in Gaza, a commemorative ceremony in which Consul General Anat Sultan-Dadon and other speakers gave remarks, educational breakout sessions, and an โIsrael expoโ featuring organizations which provide opportunities for the broader community to support and engage with Israel ๐ฎ๐ฑ
Thank you to all of the volunteers and organizers who made this special commemoration possible.
There are still 101 hostages still held in captivity in Gaza by Hamas who must be released, immediately and unconditionally.

As Jews around the world gather with their families to mark the holiday of Sukkot, we cannot forget the 101 Israeli hostages who will not celebrate with their loved ones this year.
Our hearts are with them, and we will not rest until every last hostage is home.
Let them go. Now.๐๏ธ
We were thrilled to once again welcome a Sharaka - ุดุฑุงูุฉ delegation to the the Southeastern U.S.
Sharaka, which means "partnership" in Arabic, is an NGO dedicated to building on the Abraham Accords peace and normalization agreements by promoting people-to-people diplomacy between Israel, Arab Gulf countries, and other nations.
The delegates participated in various events and engagements in North Carolina and Atlanta, sharing their powerful message of seeking hope and peace in the Middle East through people-to-people relations.
We remain committed to ensuring the triumph of good over evil. We will continue to pursue a future of peace that benefits us all.
A part of every engagement or conversation was also dedicated to calling l for the immediate release of all 101 hostages who remain in brutal Hamas captivity in Gaza.
Instead of orchestrating harmony, this conductor is sowing chaos across the Middle East.
The Iranian regime and its proxies must be stoppedโbefore itโs too late.

Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year, is a time of deep reflection, fasting, and prayer.
This year, our prayers have an even deeper meaning.
May this sacred day bring peace and stability to our nation, to the Jewish people, and to the world.
May our brave men and women in uniform, along with our families in northern and southern Israel, be protected.
May the hostages be returned swiftly and safely to the embrace of their loved ones.
May we be sealed in the Book of Life, with hope and strength to carry us forward.
Gmar Chatima Tova.
โWe are here to express support in word and in deed to our American friends who are hurting from Hurricane Helene. We are with youโ said the Consul General.
Consul General Anat Sultan-Dadon and members of the Consulate team traveled to areas in Georgia and South Carolina impacted by this week.
The state of Israel donated a truck full of necessary supplies including diapers, baby formula, cleaning products, and food to distribution centers in North Augusta, South Carolina, Columbia county, Georgia and Waycross, Georgia.
Georgia- Israel Caucus cochair state representative Brent Cox for State House partnered with the consulate to secure and transport items.
The consulate was greeted by city, county, state and federally elected officials at every stop including South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson, Georgia Speaker of the House Jon Burns and Georgia Senate Majority Leader Steven Gooch.
The Consulate would especially like to thank South Carolina State Representative Bill Hixon and Georgia State Representatives Gary Richardson and James Burchett for helping us to coordinate deliveries.
While we came to support our American friends in their time of need, it was heartwarming to hear from them so much support for Israel and the war that we are fighting.
As we do every day for the past 370 days, we continue to call for the release of 101 hostages remaining in brutal captivity in Gaza.
