Culum Family Ministries - Growing Together
A Children's ministry changing the lives of Mayan Children for Jesus Christ in the country of Guatemala.
One of CFM - Growing Together's largest outreach events took place recently. We had over 200 children attend!
We are thankful for each child in attendance and pray that God's Word will be rooted in them. We hope that those who know the Lord as Savior will be ready to share the gospel at any time and will continue to grow in Him.

HEBREWS 6:10
“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.”
Serving others is a form of expressing our faith in and to God. We are thankful at CFM - Growing Together for each one of our monthly donors who allow for us to care for those in need. God is glorified as we care for the body of Christ.

Included in each bag are basics such as dry beans, rice, soap cakes, and detergent.

What a joy to see children raised in Lord and the knowledge of the Word sharing the gospel with others! This past Saturday, despite the rains, one hundred children and their families attended a CFM - Growing Together ministry event. Pastor Antonio's daughter led the instruction of the Bible verse. We pray for each person that heard the gospel.
Because you give, we can hold events like this!

CFM - Growing Together had a ministry event this past Saturday. We thank each one for their prayers for the event and for those affected by the torrential rain caused by the tropical storms.
Here is a video clip of the children learning a Bible verse together. This is just one aspect of each outreach event.
Without each prayer partner and supporter, we could not hold these events, which allow children to hear the Word of God.

2024 Quarter 2 Newsletter -
https://culumfamilyministries.org/home
2024 Quarter 2 Newsletter ‘If you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry, and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.’
Please pray for the people of Guatemala, as well as all of Central America. Winter (known as rainy season) has begun with two large storm fronts hitting the country from the Pacific and Atlantic sides. There has been terrible flooding and landslides. Homes in Pastor Antonio's village have been damaged and this is true for many other villages. At least 8 deaths have resulted.
We pray for safety for our ministry team as there is an event scheduled for this weekend and roads are likely to be washed out in places.

We had an incredible June 1 at CFM - Growing Together with our largest event so far this year!! 250 children were in attendance and the little church building was packed as you can see. We are thrilled we could return to this village and share the gospel with the children and their families. Thanks to our generous donors, we were also able to support each of the 30 families with a food provision bag. We pray that God will allow his Word to take root and flourish!

Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Philippians 4:4 says, "Rejoice in the Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice." I woke with this verse running through my mind. In a time when many are struggling with health, finances, family concerns, it may seem impossible to follow this command. As a ministry we are also facing challenges and growing pains that may seem discouraging but then we read Philippians 4:6-7, which encourages us to "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
We know that our God has a plan and we trust Him to use us and others to fulfill that plan so that we can continue to complete our vision to grow children completely in their spiritual life. We love when CFM - Growing Together can be a part of supporting the local pastors! We had a generous donation of hard drives from a local business in Georgia. BUT we also needed monitors, keyboards, and mice-- and God provided!! A city school system in Alabama was updating and gladly donated all the needed items. Many of these pastors have never seen or used a computer before. A few of the computers have been set up at a local church a training center.

God in all His goodness gives us so many demonstrations of who He is and the Northern Lights visible in so many places last night is certainly a part of creation testifying to who He is.

Isaiah 58:10
‘If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry, and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.’
"This verse is translated differently across translations of the Bible with some encouraging us to spend ourselves and extend our souls to the hungry, while others call us to give what we have, share our food and feed those who are hungry. God’s call is to do both! When we feed the hungry, we give of ourselves personally and then our lives shine in dark places. Our needs are also met ‘like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail’ (though that’s not the reason we give—it’s a byproduct) (Isaiah 58:11)." -Meredith Benson

Matthew 9:36–38
"When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
