Safe Kids North Fulton is led by Roswell Fire Department.
Safe Kids Georgia is led by Roswell Fire Department, which provides dedicated and caring staff, operation support and other resources to assist in achieving our common goal: keeping your kids safe. Based on the needs of the community, this coalition implements evidence-based programs, such as car-seat checkups, safety workshops and sports clinics, that help parents and caregivers prevent childhood injuries.
HOT TEMPS AHEAD! ☀️⚠️
Did you know? Your car can heat up much faster than you might expect. In just 10 minutes, the temperature inside can rise by up to 19 degrees. This means that leaving a child or a pet unattended in a vehicle, even for a short time, can quickly become dangerous. Let's prioritize their safety and avoid any risks. Please share and spread the word!

Attention all sports enthusiasts! As we gear up for another exciting season, it's important to remember that safety should always come first. Here are some tips to help prevent injuries while playing your favorite sports:
⚽️Wear proper protective gear, including helmets, mouthguards, and pads.
🏀Warm up and stretch before every game or practice to prevent strains and sprains.
🏈Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water before, during, and after games.
Safe Kids coalitions include dedicated volunteers – nurses, police officers, firefighters, paramedics, doctors, parents, grandparents, and more – who share one common goal: keeping kids safe. During and always, we are grateful to them and all the volunteers who take action for a cause and give so generously of their time and talent to help others.
Storing household cleaning products up and out of sight is an important safety measure that can help protect children and pets from accidental poisoning or injury. Here are some tips on how to do this:
🧴Choose a secure storage location: Choose a high cabinet or shelf that is out of reach of children and pets. Consider using a cabinet with a lock or a child-resistant latch.
🧽Use labels: Clearly label all cleaning products with their contents and instructions for use. Make sure to include any warning labels and precautions.
🧼Keep cleaning products in their original containers: Do not transfer cleaning products to unmarked containers or bottles. This can increase the risk of accidental ingestion or misuse.

Innovation is all about finding new and creative ways to solve problems, right? Well, as we enter the season of "April showers," our water system simply can't handle the excess water from fire scenes. So, we've come up with a groundbreaking solution: we're going to start using chocolate milk to extinguish fires!
Yes, you read that right - chocolate milk. Not only is it more dense than water, which means it puts out fires faster, but it's also way more fun! Plus, we all know that chocolate milk builds strong bones, and who doesn't love a cool mustache?
Okay, okay - we're just kidding. Please don't actually use chocolate milk to extinguish fires. Stick to good old-fashioned water and follow proper safety procedures at all times.
But hey, we hope we gave you a good laugh and brightened up your day a bit. Happy April Fools' Day, everyone!
