Manga was founded in 1990 by Ramatu Afegbua-Sabbatt and incorporated in the State of Georgia in 1999. Manga is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to preserve, present and teach indigenous African cultural arts through dance, drums, fashion, drama, songs, and more. A culturally rich experience tonight on the Westside! Manga African Dance, Inc.'s FINAL performance of the year is Tonight 12/16 from 7-8 pm at DT Howard Middle School.
They will have a special guest and a children's performance as well as part of the Annual Rites of Passage.

The Atlanta youth rites of passage festival culminates today with series of activities for the participants before tonight’s concert with Manga African Dance, Inc. The Fulton County arts and culture partnership staff is here providing arts activities right now until 12.45 pm. The public invited to attend the drum class at 1 pm; dance class at 2.15 pm at 1083 Austin Avenue NE Atlanta and a concert at 7 pm at David T. Middle school at 551 John Wesley Dobbs Ave NE Atlanta. The youth rites of passage course started in October. The participants have been training and ready for December 16, 2023 events which includes a public drum class at 1 pm and Dance class at 2 pm for all ages at Littlefivepoints and culminating with a concert by the youths and Manga Edeli Egba at 7 pm at 551 Wesley Dobbs Ave. You can purchase your tickets at mangadance.org. Please come in numbers to encourage and support our youths (next generation).
