Rotaract is an international program for young professionals between the ages 21 to 30. The Rotaract Club of Atlanta holds meetings every two weeks which feature speakers, discussions and visits to other clubs. Rotaractors also get together for service projects, social activities, and leadership workshops.

Barry Rassin, 2018-2019 Rotary International President, will be speaking to our club on October 30th. As a belated celebration of World Polio Day (Oct 24th), we’ve asked him to speak about Rotary’s involvement in polio and what Rotaract can do to help aid the eradication effort.

Barry has been a huge advocate for the Rotaract community and we are thrilled to have him as a speaker. This is a great opportunity to network with Rotary leadership and showcase our club. If you’re able to, please come out and invite others who you think might be interested.

Afterwards we’ll enjoy dinner at Laseters
Tavern!

When: Wednesday, October 30th
Social: 6:30-7:00pm
Speaker: 7:00-8:00pm

Where: HLB Gross Collins (3330 Cumberland Blvd)

Join us for our October Meeting where we will be working with Missing Maps!

When: Wednesday, October 2nd; 6:45pm social, 7:00pm start time

Where: HLB Gross Collins; 3330 Cumberland Blvd SE

What: Each year, disasters around the world kill nearly 100,000 and affect or displace 200 million people.

Many of the places where these disasters occur are literally ‘missing’ from open and accessible maps and first responders lack the information to make valuable decisions regarding relief efforts.

Missing Maps is an open, collaborative project in which you can help to map areas where humanitarian organisations are trying to meet the needs of people who live at risk of disasters and crises.

Yesterday we volunteered with area Rotary and Rotaract clubs for the 11th Annual FODAC Equipment Drive. As part of our volunteering, we were able to collect donated medical equipment in the Atlanta area. This medical equipment will be distributed to individuals in the area who need the medical equipment but who are otherwise unable to get it.

It is amazing what we can accomplish together!
