Restoration Atlanta
Our mission is to equip under-resourced families to experience holistic restoration.
At RATL, we believe that "Being with" is more transformative than "Doing for". We offer a space for groups (high school, young adults, and families) to serve alongside us as we seek to build relationships with the families in our community! To learn more about RATL and how to schedule a team trip or become a volunteer, email [email protected]
Since the beginning, RATL’s mission has been all about people.
About seeing people the way God sees them.
About supporting people with resources for daily living.
About connecting with people through meaningful relationships.
We will always exist to .
Thank you for each time you’ve supported us along the way.
Meet Kamari—one of our amazing interns!
Kamari is currently working on her Master's degree in Social Work and has been interning with us for the past few months. She has been an amazing addition to our team this semester.
She shares, "My favorite part about interning at RATL is meeting and building a relationship with the children. Also, knowing that I can impact and help these children to the best of my ability. I have learned the many different ways you can help and impact a child's life. Every person that a child interacts with impacts them in some way. I always want to leave a positive impact in any interaction."
We love our volunteer teams!
Kennesaw State University’s Human Services Club came out this month to help with our Fall Festival. Thank you for taking part in our mission to families here at RATL. Your presence made all the difference in helping families feel loved and cared for as we celebrated the start of the season together.
How do you celebrate Fall? 🍂
Families came together on October 19 to enjoy our annual RATL Fall Festival. Some of the festival activities included pumpkin painting, fall crafts, face painting, and of course, enjoying the fall weather!
How do you celebrate Fall with those you love?
Meet Deontay, one of our wonderful students!
Deontay is always ready for some rec time—his favorite parts of RATL are going to the gym with Mr. Jamari and playing football with his friends. Deontay just turned 6 years old. He is always a joy to be around!
We love seeing how each student brings their own light and personality into RATL. They set the tone with their joy and help us provide a fun and welcoming atmosphere for all!
Cooler temps are coming, which means we need coats to keep RATL families warm!
You can help by organizing a coat drive or by donating a single coat or jacket this fall - visit our Amazon Wish List to select a coat: https://a.co/5LkLg54

Monday Night women's fellowship is a great time to connect!
Recently, the ladies joined together to chat and create meaningful bracelets, each representing something special to them.
Thank you to Camp Lighthouse for bringing ministry and nonprofit leaders from the Atlanta area together!
On October 4th, we joined up with like-minded organizational and ministry leaders to share and encourage one another in our missions and programs. We are thankful to be a part of this incredible network of great leaders.
It’s Fall Y’all!
Kids are starting to work on ALL the pumpkin and fall-themed crafts here at RATL After School. We love this time of year!
Of course we love all of our programs, but there is something special about our Family events! We love offering a space for families to come Be With other families to enjoy an evening of fun. For our September event, families spent time together over a meal, playing games, and for the kiddos, jumping in the bounce house!
✨Meet JaMya!✨
One of JaMya's favorite activities at RATL is Art Class! 🖌️She loves coming to RATL to spend time with her friends and her Kindergarten classroom teacher. JaMya has 2 older siblings who also attend RATL. We are so grateful for each family that attends our program each day and the unique personalities of every student!
RATL 🫶🏾s Reading!
We’ve ramped up our literacy focus in After School, and we’ve loved seeing students grow in their love for reading. Through homework completion, picking up a new book, and playing literacy-based games, we are seeing students take ownership of their reading growth.
An extra motivator? Daily, weekly, and monthly incentives for completing various reading and literacy challenges!
We may have some future artists on our hands. 🎨
One of our students’ favorite activities in After School is our weekly art class. Not only do the kids have a good time creating new art projects, but they also get to develop new skills like painting, drawing, and ceramics. We love seeing their creativity come to life in a new work of art!
RATL Staff had the opportunity to collaborate and learn from other After School professionals at the Georgia After School and Youth Development Conference! We left the conference with resources and tools to continue developing our program, so students we serve can have the best. We are especially excited to put some new ideas to use during Cooking Class!
Thank you to Heritage Prep who volunteered to host a snack drive and make snack kits for students in After School! We are so grateful!
Interested in hosting a snack OR supply drive? Reach out to us at ratl.org/connect
Each week, Lela joins us onsite to host a book club for RATL After School students. Each child who participates has the opportunity to read a chapter book and discuss it together with their peers.
Thank you, Lela, for helping our students grow in their critical thinking, conversation, and reading skills! Your dedication and consistency to provide a weekly book club is so appreciated.
RATL Women enjoyed a special night out this month at Top Golf!
This was a great time to relax, enjoy a night out, and bond together over a fun activity. They’re already looking forward to the next ladies night out. 🏌🏾♀️
Meet Alonzo, one of our RATL students!
Alonzo’s favorite part of being at RATL is hanging out with his leaders. He loves participating in the activities we offer, especially during Summer Camp. He says he loves RATL so much that when he grows up, he wants to join the RATL staff and work with us!
We’d love to have you, Alonzo!
It is such a gift to see students grow, learn, and develop during the formative years of their lives. We are so proud of each of them—and especially Alonzo for his parkour skills!
RATL After School continues to provide MORE opportunities for students to gain new skills, explore new interests, and grow through learning!
Our latest After School activity, Cooking Class, has been a fun time for students that they always look forward to! Last week, they enjoyed a special treat of cupcake decorating!
Did you know we host weekly on-site Bible Studies for RATL women?
During this time, women have the opportunity to worship together, dive into Scripture, enjoy fellowship, and do arts and crafts. So many women have grown spiritually through this special time. We look forward to it every week!
Meet Thanae, one of our amazing team members!
“My favorite part about working at RATL is getting the opportunity to bond with children and see the smiles on their faces. RATL has allowed me to work in a place that I am passionate about. The team support, genuine care for the community we serve, and relationships built has been a blessing to experience!”
We are so grateful for each team member and volunteer who enables us to carry out our mission!

To provide resources.
