Develping Jensue, one project at a time.
In 2004, our Founder and CEO, Jacob Agyemang, left his beloved village of Jensue in Ghana to pursue opportunities in the United States of America. Whereas most departures are filled with sadness and anxiety, his was a departure celebrated by the whole village for they would have a son venturing further than the confines of Jensue. If the God’s were pleased, their son would find happiness and success, and tell the world about Jensue.
Indeed, the Gods were pleased, for not only did Jacob make it to America, he was successful in academia and has found success as a Technologist. Through it all, Jacob never forgot the people he left behind in Jensue. It was the people of Jensue whom Jacob looked up to for strength when there was not always support in his new-found land. It was the people of Jensue who had installed in him a strong work ethic, and it was the people of Jensue whom Jacob felt a strong sense of gratitude. Jensue was his soul.
To feed his soul, Jacob wanted to make life easier for Jensue. Even in his most glorious memories of Jensue, Jacob’s memory always ended up in the same place – the poverty that was all around Jensue. A true son of the soil, Jacob set out to make a difference and change the life experience of those in Jensue now and those not yet born.
In 2017, in Cincinnati, Ohio, articles of incorporation were approved for the Agyemoah Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is simple – to develop Jensue into a thriving community that supports its people through education, job training, technology, health and sanitation.
