How we began
Once I (Rich) decided my service in the military had reached its entirety, and there was another path for my family & myself, I quickly realized how fast life could turn upside down. All those I knew to be my brothers and sisters quickly found other lives. It’s not that I blame them nor do I carry any animosity towards anyone for it. When you make the transition to leave military life, or to return home from a deployment, life can become very strange and lonely. The life you once knew has now all changed.
During my transition out, one of my best friends took his own life. All the emotions surrounded me when his death happened. First I was destroyed, then I blamed, then I became angry, then lost….then inspired. Inspired to be a change My inspiration came from realizing in the moment of his death, there were very few people that actually cared for anyone in our ranks, Or at least that was the feeling I had…
After searching for some time for answers as to why I felt that. We decided we would stop chasing unanswered feelings & be a place that would become a home those people who are lost, feeling alone or broken, thoughts of no one cares. We are here to create a different path for everyone. We believe that everyone needs someone to believe in them. We know that through compassion, respect & loyalty, everyone can realize they are not alone, they are not broken, they are not damaged. There is a whole group of people who believe in them and support them. And through our community, we will help you find your balance back into the world.
Our mission, our duty is to honor the human beings that have made sacrifices for the greater good, and now feel left behind and alone to carry the weight of the world. By compassionately and loyally bringing us together in a way that respects the personal courage we have shown in facing our fears, so that we may realize that we are not alone. And together, feel whole again.
