It’s that time of year again! If you have used ArtsLab this semester and left work on our drying racks or elsewhere, it is time to come and pick it up! Please come take what is yours by May 10– we will be closed during the week of graduation. Until then, our hours are 12-8pm Monday-Friday!

Back by popular demand! Join us tomorrow Friday, April 19 for another flower bracelet making workshop led by at the ArtsLab in Cox Hall! We’ll be teaching people to make these bracelets from 1-5pm, so feel free to stop by 🌸🌼🌺

Look who came for a visit this week! Unraveling Dooley is a mural created by artist in collaboration with Emory students, now on display at the Cox Hall Computing Center. Dooley gave us two thumbs up 👍 in response to the portrait— come see it for yourself! 🎨🖌️💀

Today! A Rosemary Magee Creativity Conversation featuring puppeteer, theater-maker and yiddish scholar Jake Krakovsky 14C, who returns to campus this spring to perform as Audrey II in Theater Emory’s Little Shop of Horrors, April 11-21.

Emory Cinematheque is back! This semester’s series “A.I. And Film” examines the provocative ways that artificial intelligence has been depicted in film. Join us this evening at 7:30pm in White Hall Room 208 for our first screening, Steven Spielberg’s 2001 film, A.I. Artificial Intelligence. The film will be introduced by Provost Ravi V. Two more weeks left to catch the Praise House and we’ve extended our hours to help you find the time! Starting Dec. 7, the Praise House will be open 12-5, Weds-Sun.

If you have a passion for the arts, then the Rosemary Magee Arts Fellowship might be for you! Applications are limited to Emory students with graduation years between 2022-May 2024 and either majored or minored in the arts. Deadline is December 8th, 2023. More info and application link in the bio.

Our Rosemary Magee Arts Fellowship application is open for the 2024-2025 appointment!

This fellowship engages recent Emory College graduates who majored or minored in an arts disciple and are interested in arts admin, student engagement, and marketing.

You can apply if you have a graduation year between 2022-May 2024.

Join us Thursday afternoon for a special Praise House Project event at Cannon Chapel.

To imagine Freedom, Charmaine Minniefield invites Emory scholars to engage in a round table discussion to imagine what true freedom looks like today as she asks, How does society make room for Black Liberation? How does allowing for Black space, safety place and belonging, access and equity feel? The conversation will gather ancestral memories (prayers) as each participant recalls the names of those who have come before, speaks to their current scholarly work and engages the audience in a dynamic discussion on what Freedom is today.

STUDENT DAY at the Praise House this Saturday, November 4. Meet the artist behind the project, Charmine Minniefield, and one of the Gullah Geechee ring shouters, Griffin Lotson. Enjoy a free food truck and DJ as you experience this incredible installation.

SATURDAY(10/14) join us for a community cypher led by the one and only, Toni Blackman, the U.S. Ambassador of Hip-hop and get a special preview of the Praise House before or after! Arts.Emory.edu/PraiseHouse
