The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management has lifted the boil water advisory for the area affected by the water main break at Joseph E. Boone Blvd. and J.P. Brawley Dr.

However, an advisory remains in place for the Midtown area near West Peachtree and 11th Street and neighborhoods in East Atlanta. Residents in this area should continue to follow boil water precautions. To determine if your street is still impacted, you can visit the City of Atlanta's official website at (atlantaga.gov), click the link in our bio, or call 311 for confirmation.

Additional details about the outage area for the water main break. PLEASE BOIL WATER!

05/31/2024

Water will be shut off at 5pm, please boil water in preparation for the outage!

The Department of Watershed Management has issued a boil water advisory out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with Georgia EPD guidance for public advisory. DWM crews are repairing a water main break on a
48-inch and 36-inch transmission line that carries large volumes of water to the
metropolitan area.

Atlanta!

I’ve been having conversations with grandparents and seniors across the city who have received ⚠️ warnings for $125 tickets for
driving 30 mph in what APS and APD deem school zones.

This sounds like a way to keep students safe, but what many citizens are missing is that these new school zones aren’t just on streets with schools.

Did you know that you can now be in the area of a school 🏫 (2-3 streets away) and get a ticket for driving the regular speed limit of 35 mph?

Most importantly many school zones don’t have flashing lights that alert you that the speed limit, 35 , has been changed to per the warning tickets 20-25 mph when this is what traditionally has set a school zone.

Instead of sidewalks, improving infrastructure of parking lots so schools aren’t flooded when it rains, bus stop programs to help reduce child abduction, bullying and gang violence the previous administration created this.

Ensure you come out to this urgent school board debate this week!
