We understand the challenges faced by families with sick kids. Our mission-critical cause revolves around funding the care and well-being of your child, for essential surgeries, therapies, medications, equipment, housing, and travel for care. By addressing these financial needs, we aim to relieve the financial burden faced by families during a child's healing journey.
A good healthcare care system is essential for kids to thrive and our economy to prosper. But our current approach fails kids, parents and health care workers by every measure. The failings of the child healthcare market also affect the health of the American economy. This means that young children are missing out on care and early learning during a period of important brain development.
Transitioning from a faltering child care system to creating a flourishing one will take new thinking and investing at the local, state and national levels. "An executive order issued by President Biden in April is aimed at expanding access, lowering costs and raising wages and it could prove to be a helpful framework, but more is needed". Dr. Michael W. Craige Founding Director of CiDrep SickKids Foundation.
