We are very excited to inform you about a state-wide initiative that supports our youth (ages 13-17). The Adolescent Health Alliance of Georgia (AHA-GA) is a collaborative initiative bringing together public and private stakeholders from across Georgia's youth support ecosystem to align strategies and actions that holistically improve the health and well-being of Georgia's adolescent population.
Recognizing the power of collective action, we are dedicated to sharing knowledge and resources, elevating awareness of adolescent health needs, and advocating for policies that eliminate adolescent health disparities and advance health equity. Our collaborative efforts work to empower youth and advance health outcomes- such as social, emotional, physical, mental, s*xual, and reproductive health, among others.
We invite you to join AHA-GA and participate in initiatives that will directly support our states' youth by attending our introductory virtual call on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024 at 11:00am. To sign up, visit https://www.tfaforms.com/5147065.

Our Story
The Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential (GCAPP) was
founded in 1995 when Georgia had the worst teen birth rate in the nation. Today, after experiencing a 37% decrease, it has improved to 17. GCAPP, an acknowledged leader in the field on both the state and national levels, is the only organization in the Georgia solely dedicated to ending teen pregnancy.
Through education, advocacy and collaboration GCAPP reaches over 30,000 teens, parents, families, health educators, and youth serving organization professionals to address one of the state’s toughest and costliest issues. GCAPP has trained teachers in 40 schools giving more than 13,000 students the opportunity to receive proven, effective health education programs that work.
Realizing that chronic poverty, dropping out of school, lack of employment, poor health, and little hope for a brighter future go hand in hand with teen pregnancy, at the heart of GCAPP’s work is providing teens the knowledge, skills and motivation to make good healthy choices—choices that include delaying s*x and, for those who don’t delay, ways to protect themselves.
