Kiwanis volunteers spend countless hours reading aloud to children. It's a vital step in kids’ progression toward learning to read by themselves. When kids are read to, their language, cognitive skills, communication, imagination and emotional development grow.
Benefits of reading to kids The mission of Kiwanis International is to serve children all around the world so they can thrive, prosper and grow. One important way we do that is by supporting childhood literacy.
