It is with heavy hearts we share news of the passing of BRS alum Morty. 💔 Morty was, and is, so loved. We are eternally grateful to his foster and forever families, who helped Morty live out his happily ever after. Our hearts go out to all those who loved him. 🐾

As North Texas Giving Day winds down, and the bullies start snuggling into bed, we extend our most sincere thanks to everyone who believes in our mission and those who have supported us. It takes a village—better yet, a whole squad!

Woo hoo, we made it to lunch time! BRS ambassador and former rescue, Louie the one eyed Bulldog, heard it was North Texas Giving Day. That means for every donation made at the below link, our rescue receives double the funds.

Louie has decided to step up and volunteer his time (and appetite)! In order to support his friends (and his love of cheese), he graciously offered to host a cheese challenge! For every donation received (doesn’t matter if it’s $1 or $1,000,000), Louie will eat a bite of cheese.

We are heartbroken to share the news that BRS alum, Coco, has passed away. Please lift up her forever family in your hearts through this very tough time.

Coco entered rescue not knowing what human kindness is, but she passed away surrounded by the most amazing and loving forever family any dog could have. She was a lucky dog, and her family was lucky to have her.

Happy t(r)ails to Bella!
In rescue there are highs and lows, but thankfully highs like these make it all worth it. We recently shared news of the passing of Harley, one of our squad members. It just so happened that Harley was adopted by of one of our most amazing foster families who have homed and loved many of our wonderful pups. When Harley, crossed the rainbow bridge she left a major hole in her forever mama’s heart. Thankfully for Bella, and as a testament to Harley (and Destiny, the Bulldog she adopted from BRS before Harley) her mom knew how much Bella (“Bellie”) needed her. As it turns out, she needed Bella just as much. We are so excited for Bella and her family. This is what rescue is all about!

Missed your NYE kiss this year? No worries! Foster girl Bella says she’s available for adoption and will give you smooches 365 days a year!

It’s only January 2, and 2023 is off to a great start, especially for squad member Doc! This sweet, big boy was adopted into a wonderful family, who recently lost their previous bulldog, Spike. We know how hard it is to lose such a special member of the family, so we are extremely grateful to Doc’s forever family for opening up their hearts and home and giving this boy a second lease on life. Here’s to happy endings and new beginnings!
