SAFETY REMINDER FROM
AUDUBON FIRE DEPARTMENT
Today is the day! The Audubon Celebration Committee, in collaboration with the Borough of Audubon, is happy to announce that the Independence Day evening program and fireworks are moving forward as scheduled!
(of course this is dependent on the weather continuing to cooperate, so cross your fingers and your toes!)
6pm - Food trucks and novelty vendors are on site along Walnut St. by the opening to the high school football stadium. Food trucks include Bondie's Buddy Concessions, Anthony's Hot Dogs, Not Your Mama's Tacos, and Kona Ice. The football field will be open at this time for setting up chairs/blankets.
7pm - Live music from Legal Limit kicks off on the football field
8pm - Our traditional ceremony featuring Audubon's own commissioners and mayor and presentation of the awards for the parade and house decorating contests
Dusk* - Fireworks display
(*usually sometime around 9:15pm, at the discretion of the fireworks company, and potentially impacted by the weather forecast)
Please note that there will be road closures in the vicinity of the high school. Police and public safety organizations will be on site and it is important to follow any directions they give. Our goal is for this event to be as safe and enjoyable as possible for all!
Thanks again to our 2024 sponsors, The Dog House and PSE&G for helping make this event possible!

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Monday July 8 & thru Thursday July 11, 2024

URGENT PUBLIC SAFETY MESSAGE FROM AUDUBON FIRE DEPARTMENT. ๐ฅ ๐บ๐ธ ๐
Please read, share and advise all those not on social media to keep our community safe.
With the 4th of July approaching, we have a few things we would like to address for the safety of yourself and others.
During the fireworks display, streets around the high school will be closed due to the anticipated crowd. Please do not drive around traffic cones or any emergency vehicle, they are there for a reason. You can contact Audubon Police Department for a list of the road closures.
It should also be noted that there is to be absolutely NO FOOT TRAFFIC on the track at the rear of the high school. Any gate that is locked or marked with caution tape is not to be used for access.
If you need to get to the football stadium you can access it by the normal entrance on Walnut St.
If you would like to watch from the tennis courts, you can access them from Mansion and Hampshire Avenues.
Please do not use the driveway at the end of the high school to access the rear of the building, or the walkway towards the track on Edgewood Avenue.
When the firework display is finished, we ask you to exit in the same fashion while we check the fields for any un-detonated shells.
Additionally, if you live around the area of the high school, there is a chance embers may end up on your property, depending on the wind speed and direction. We ask you to be mindful of this and check to ensure it isnโt still burning.
If anyone is to find any un-detonated shells that may have went airborne during the show on their property, PLEASE do not touch it, clear the area, and call 911. If youโre not sure what foreign object may have landed on your property, call 911 and we will check it out for you.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, and we hope everyone has a great holiday.
