Intelligentsia is honored to represent four individuals running the Chicago Marathon this Sunday. These runners occupy different stages of their running journey but share a common goal of crossing the finish line in Grant Park.

Brooke Angell’s high-achieving spirit drove her to do a self-led marathon in 2020. She grew up inspired by the women in her life that trained for races, and took it up herself in school. She will now embark on her third official marathon this weekend.

Felix Estrada found running as a journey to weight loss eight years ago, and has used it as motivation to overcome hardships like a cancer diagnosis and the loss of his father. After running his first marathon self-led, then his first official marathon last year, Felix is back for another race to build a legacy that his kids can tell future generations about. Felix is a proud member of the Skokie Swifters.

Brett Cross is taking his first leap into marathon running this year. What first started as a pandemic hobby turned into a firm commitment. He says that he’s found running relaxing and therapeutic, and that it’s improved his overall quality of life.

Cammie McLeod is a seasoned marathoner, undertaking her 15th Chicago Marathon and 34th overall. She says that running has made up a huge part of her identity, and sees it as proof of vigor and fitness in her life

For the second year, Intelligentsia is proud to partner with the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on the limited edition 26.2 Blend.

We had an incredible time last year meeting runners and coffee fans from all over the world — we’ve decided to go bigger for this race.

For this year, we developed a coffee with a unique offering for runners looking to celebrate the event. The design pays homage to the race route and visual elements of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

In the blend, we aimed for a sweet and refreshing flavor to fuel your runs — featuring notes of plum, red grape, and black cherry.
