It’s that time of year again. We are looking for great partners.
This is a long, but very purposeful post. Please take an extra minute out of your day to read. You could make a difference.
I’d like introduce you to an exciting opportunity for collaboration that has the potential to make a significant positive impact on the lives of young adults in our community. At the Transition Center, we focus on providing essential life skills and vocational training to young adults as they navigate the transition from school to independent living. We believe that partnering with local businesses like yours can play a crucial role in enhancing job skills training opportunities and fostering community integration for our students.
Our students come from diverse backgrounds and are eager to gain independence and meaningful employment skills that will allow them to contribute to society and lead fulfilling lives.
Collaboration Opportunities:
We are seeking partnerships with local businesses like yours to create job skills training opportunities and facilitate community integration for our students. By working together, we can offer real-world experiences, internships, mentorship, and potential employment pathways that align with the needs of your business. This collaboration can greatly benefit our students by preparing them for successful integration into the workforce, your business, and the community at large.
Benefits of Partnership:
1. **Skill Development:** Your business can play a vital role in honing the skills our students need to succeed in the workplace.
2. **Diversity and Inclusion:** Partnering with us showcases your commitment to diversity and inclusion by providing opportunities to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
3. **Community Impact:** By participating in community integration programs, your business can make a positive impact on society while enhancing your brand reputation.
4. **Talent Pool:** Access to our students can serve as a source of potential skilled employees for your business in the future.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss this partnership further and explore how we can work together to create a meaningful and mutually beneficial relationship. Please feel free to contact Amy Worthy at [email protected] to schedule a meeting or discuss any questions you may have. Thank you for considering this opportunity.

The rain held off so we could play with our newest BFF’s. BFF’s Mobile Petting Zoo
Today we were spoiled rotten. Karin, Karen, and Amer spent the day celebrating us. Karin Joiner with Custom Thread Art gifted the students a day of crafting fun and yummy treats. The ladies made make up brushes and the guys made pens and keychains. Each student and staff member were recognized for their volunteer efforts this school year. Forever grateful.
Fun in the sun!
Just a few photos of what we have been up to lately.
We had the opportunity to sharpen our skills and display our abilities while purchasing, prepping, and serving lunch to Admin and Special Services. It was a lot of hard work and the students thrived. Grateful for the opportunity.

Ordering their own meal at a restaurant is incredibly beneficial. It provides them with practical real-life experiences, enhancing their communication skills, boosting confidence, and fostering independence. Additionally, it can improve their social interactions and decision-making abilities. This practical task encourages them to follow steps, make choices, and interact with others, contributing to their overall development and preparedness for independent living.
Thank you Azle Subway for providing our students this opportunity.
We are so grateful for our partnership with Southern Honey Giftique. They offer us a place to showcase and sell products from our student led business which has helped foster a sense of purpose for the students. By allowing us this opportunity, they also assist in spreading the word about our program to the community. Please join us in thanking them for their support.
