⭐ 2024 Health Science Technology Camp was a BLAST! ⭐
🩺 MONDAY: Students learned about vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, BP, 02), Medical Terminology Bingo, Integumentary: Jello Skin cups, Muscular: hand with tendons, Skeletal: Mr. Bones and a cereal spinal cord, Circulatory: shrink d**k key chains, Nervous: thinking caps, Digestive/urinary: crackers and lemonade
😷 TUESDAY: Students put on PPE and used glo germ on their hands, and dissected a heart, lung, & eye
💊 WEDNESDAY: Students learned about head and neck injuries and spine boarding. Pharmacy pill counting in the afternoon and used math to make ice cream for Pharmacy
🚑 THURSDAY: Azle Fire came and talked to students all about 911 and ambulances. They learned First Aid and CPR in the afternoon

22 students & families from Azle High School recently returned from an 11-day Health Science and Forensics Tour of Scotland, London, and Paris led by Mr. Rider and Mrs. Brown! 🌎✈️
This tour included things like a forensics workshop, visits with healthcare professionals in the UK, following the footsteps of Jack the Ripper, exploring historical sights like Edinburgh Castle, Mary King's Close and the Tower of London, and of course all things Paris! 💚 Azle ISD
Health Science Technology (HST) teachers had the opportunity to share what Azle High School offers in the Health Science Technology Pathway June 3rd-6th. Coach Conger and Mrs. Shaw hosted 5th-9th graders and put on a mini medical school. 🩺🚑⚕️
Students were introduced to skills in Anatomy & Physiology, how to take a medical history and vital signs, health science career skills where they were taught how to spine board, pharmacy math, first aid and CPR!
Huge thank you to Emma and Leonie two of our exchange students who assisted with camp sharing what they learned in A&P while at Azle High School on exchange.
Always thankful for the support that Azle Fire gives. Anytime they are asked to share and serve, they come!
