It’s a short but busy week at AJHS!

Our apologies for the mistake on Volleyball location. We went by the initial schedule put out. Our girls will play at Azle High School this week!

It’s happening!! We are on our way to a new school.

Wow! That's all we can say as we fight back the lump in our throat and try to hold back happy tears! One of our sweet students brought a treat for our custodians to show how sorry she was that they had to clean up a rather unpleasant mess left in one of the student bathrooms. Every day in junior high brings a new story, and today was one of those stories that warms our hearts and makes us smile. Thank you, Natalie, for this kind gesture! You made our Friday so much brighter!

For the safety of all students, staff, and drivers, parent pick-up and drop-off must occur in the designated loading and unloading zone on the access road between the school and the football field. Please ensure that students are not entering or exiting vehicles along School Street, Jarvis Lane, or any other city roads surrounding the campus.
To maintain safety, police officers will continue to monitor both morning arrivals and afternoon departures. Additionally, only students participating in 7th grade football, 8th grade volleyball, or cross country may be dropped off before 8:00 a.m. These student athletes are expected to arrive between 6:30am-7:00am. All other students should remain in their vehicles until the school doors open at 8:00 a.m.
We appreciate your cooperation and patience regarding these procedures.

‼ Parent Drop-Off and Pick-Up has changed.

The doors open at 8am every single day. Do not drop your student off any earlier than this time. We will follow the attached traffic pattern for the school year for drop off and pickup of students. The entrance to the access road is from School St. by the football field. Everyone will enter in a single file line The drive will expand to 2 lanes after the Football Field parking lot entrance. Do not block School St. to enter the access road, as traffic will need to flow. There will be a designated area for drop-off and pick-up. We are under construction, and have limited entry points. All students must enter the building from the back side of the campus facing the Football Field. Do not drop your student off or pick up other than the designated area, including all roadways around campus. Patience will be needed the first couple weeks as many parents and students are learning this pattern for the first time. Once athletic practices begin, before and after-school drop and pick-up will become smoother.

Schedule Preview: Wednesday, July 31st 8:30-4:00

🚧Construction has started at AJHS and both main parking lots are fenced off. All visitors will enter off School Street (one way) and park in the lot by the football field. For Schedule Preview, visitors will enter the campus at Entrance 13, as indicated by the yellow star on the map.

💚All online registration must be complete through the new Skyward system: Family Access
💚All incoming 7th graders must have up-to-date shot records
💚Chromebooks will be checked for repairs or issued to new students
💚 Students will collect their schedule and be able to tour the campus
💚Kona Ice will be available from 1:00-3:00pm

Central Registration is available to all students who are brand new to the district.

⭐ Azle ISD is hosting a Central Registration event for ALL new students on Tuesday, July 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Azle High School. ⭐

At Central Registration, Azle ISD staff will be available to assist families with online registration including proof of residency 🏠, shot record verification 🏥, food service 🍴, transportation 🚌, bilingual/ESL, special services, & more. (Spanish translators available.) 💚

Returning student registration/verification will take place online 💻 through Skyward Family Access, our new student information system which replaces Ascender ParentPortal. **Families of returning students who need assistance with online registration can visit Central Registration on July 23 for help.**

Check your email for a message from the district that includes the link and instructions on registering your student for the 2024 school year. All registrations must go through the new Skyward system, the district is no longer using Parent Portal.

Student STAAR Scores will be available starting Friday, June 7th. Parents can log in to Parent Portal and click the green Texas Assessment button at the top to access their students' test scores.
