🌟 Exciting Learning in Mrs. Zuniga's 2nd Grade Class! 🌟

This week, our students are diving into the branches of government and exploring how laws are created and enforced. We were thrilled to have Officer Conwell from Azusa PD visit us! He answered the students’ questions about his role and shared insights on law enforcement. Thank you, Officer Conwell, for your valuable time and for inspiring our young learners! 🏛️👮‍♂️📚

🎉 Today at Valleydale, our Dual Immersion Vikings had an amazing day filled with learning and fun! From one-on-one reading to counting and discovering different careers, our students were eager to share all their new knowledge with Mr. Trejo, our awesome Principal and Norma Carvajal-Camacho, our supportive Superintendent Assistant K-12! ! 📚✨ What a fun and inspiring way to kick off the week! Valleydale community, you're invited to our FREE Flu Vaccination Clinic for students, staff and families on Thursday, October 24th starting at 8:30 AM in the Parent Room ( #24). No appointment needed and no proof of insurance required! 🩺💉

🔸 Important: Children will NOT be vaccinated unless a consent form is completed, signed, and returned to the school.
🔸 Most students will receive the nasal spray unless they have a medical condition.
🔸 Adults interested in getting vaccinated need to bring an ID.

Yesterday was our first attendance party at the Plaza at Valleydale, and we are incredibly proud of our students for achieving a full month with zero absences. Let’s keep up the great work and aim to have even more students join us for next month's celebration!

Attendees learned valuable insights about emotional well-being and stress management, including the different levels of stress and practical strategies to feel better.

This past Friday, we held our first district-wide Community Circles, where students had the chance to practice active listening, use kind words, and build connections with their classmates. These circles are an important part of fostering a strong sense of community in our school and classrooms.

The theme for this session was Together We Thrive, and our students shared some creative responses to the question: If you had a superpower for a day, what would it be?

We look forward to more moments like these that strengthen our school community!
