This is Wendale Davis and he is the motivation behind this organization. For those of you do not know, Wendale was 16 years old when he was shot killed on Bradshaw street in Bakersfield, Ca. Wendale was a loving, caring and kind teenager. Wendale was not connected to or involved in any gang activities, he happened to be in the wrong area at the wrong time.

This is his photo identification from high school 🖤

Where do we start? Today was our 15th annual Walk For Peace. In our community, it’s our people dying and getting injured in gun violence. It’s an honor for our organization and other individuals that assist us with bringing awareness to our community and other communities around the world. We will continue to bring awareness & give recognition. We’re so super thankful for our wonderful sponsors and those who donate, without you all, if would NOT be possible. Big Dog Bail Bonds and family provided all the food, Dew Me Handmade provided all the waters, Frito-Lay provided us with a great assortment of chips, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts provided us with yummy donuts and Poky Wolfe thank you for your donation. Additionally, we want to thank Yvonne Johnson, Brenda Howard and Diane Mcgee for always making yourselves available for our event and putting the time in to keep our events going. Thank you to all of our student volunteers at various school sites, to all the families who came out to support their loved one and to all our vendors, we greatly appreciate you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Much love to all the MC’s, Bakersfield Police Department officers that escorted us and to Bakersfield Southside SDA Church 🤎

And always a huge thanks to NAACP Bakersfield & Patrick Jackson Jr
