The Baltimore Chapter was founded in 1958 and is the origin of The Pierians, INC. On December 13,1958, The Pierians was founded by Mrs. Annette C.
These founding chapter members had the vision and dream to support Black creators in our community. Johnson in Baltimore, Maryland. Nine women joined Mrs. Johnson in her interests in the arts, to form this group which became unique to Baltimore and to Maryland audiences.
