Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation Queen
Emma Stelly of Vermilion is the 2024 Louisiana Farm Bureau Queen Avery Claire Hebert of Vermilion Parish is the 2021 Louisiana Farm Bureau Queen.
She will spend her year promoting agriculture and farmers and ranchers, and serve as one of the voices of Louisiana Agriculture!
My personal favorite event at convention has always been the ice cream social! In the decade I have been attending convention I have never missed the social!! ♥️
In fact, about 9% of dairy milk produced in the U.S. goes toward making ice cream.
(The picture is of my family at the ice cream social this past convention)
I would personally like to reintroduce myself! I am Emma Nicole Stelly a 5th generation farmer who resides in Vermilion Parish. My family and I farm about 5000 acres of rice and crawfish. On top of farming we have a crawfish wholesale dock, a boiling spot in Abbeville, La, a bait shop, we wholesale my families locally caught shrimp, and we have just recently opened up a processing plant where we process crawfish and alligators!
On top of being an Ag family we are also heavily involved in Farm Bureau and we have been for as long as I can remember! In 2016 and 2017 my parents were finalists for the achievement award. In 2016 and 2017 my mother was a finalist for the Woman’s of the year award winning the award in 2017! My parents were presidents of the Vermilion parish YF&R group and my dad is now 1st Vice President of the Vermilion Parish Farm Bureau Federation Board! My dad is also Vice President of the Louisiana Farm Bureau Crawfish Board! I am also an active YF&R member of Vermilion parish Farm Bureau and I volunteer with our parish AITC committee and women’s committee.
One question I was asked in my interview was “who is your Agriculture role model.” The answer to this question came so naturally to me. My parents are my role models, they have allowed me to love Agriculture in a way not many people get the experience!
I am very excited to be able to advocate for the hardworking farmer, ranchers and agriculturalist of the state of Louisiana! ♥️
And just like that, A year of a lifetime has come to an end. Here’s to great memories, beautiful friendships, a new found sisterhood, and a family outside of blood.
Congratulations to our 2024 Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation Queen, Miss Emma Stelly, your determination and hard work paid off, welcome to the sisterhood ♥️
