Meet the next Chef that will be doing a cooking demonstration at Spring Fete on May 19th! Chef Nicholas Palmer’s exposure to the hospitality world began at a young age with his family working in the industry while living in Rhode Island. Working in kitchens since he was 13 years old, Nic’s passion for cooking only grew once his family settled in Louisiana. An up and comer on the culinary scene, Chef Nic has recently returned from a stint at Daniel in New York working with Chef Eddy LeRoux. Finding a home at Baton Rouge’s own Beausoleil Coastal Cuisine, Chef Nic quickly ascended through the ranks - being named Executive Chef in August. He has recently released a new menu more akin to the style of the culinary experience he is hoping to impart. This year's Spring Fete coming up on May 19th will feature Chef demos including none other than Chef Roshni Gurnani! Chef Rosh started her culinary journey at the age of 13 and later graduated from culinary school. She has traveled and worked in various countries, including India, Thailand, the UK, and Europe. She is a James Beard Alumni Chef, Chopped Champion, survivor of Hell's Kitchen, and a Food Network contestant on Beat Bobby Flay and Iron Chef’s “Alex vs. America”. We are honored to have her do a cooking demonstration for the Baton Rouge Epicurean Society's guests of Spring Fete. Luci and Wayne Stabiler have given back to our community for many years now, especially through the Stabiler Foundation formed in 2018. Last year they did something unheard of: they gifted ownership of five of their restaurants to the managers that helped make the establishments successful. For these reasons, we could think of no two people more deserving of our 17th annual Grace ‘Mama’ Marino Lifetime Achievement Award.
