Tonight we swore in Brother Cavanaugh into Local 2857 as our newest member. Welcome aboard!

Overnight Beavercreek crews (E63, E62, BC61) along with several mutual aid partners assisted Riverside on a commercial fire. Working closely with our neighbors helps provide protection and assistance when needed on large events such as this.

ACTIVE INCIDENT - Overnight crews were on the scene of a structure fire in the 2200 block of Pine Knott Dr

E63 reports an attic fire that was quickly contained by crews

Over the past 4 days members of Local 2857 have been in Hamilton, Ohio attending the 54th Biennial Conference of the Ohio Association of Professional Firefighters. Members conducted the business of the state union, attended educational presentations and networked with Ohio's leaders.

The business concluded with Beavercreek Union President Heaton being elected to serve as a Trustee for the OAPFF!

A great turnout last night as we hosted the 4th district meeting of the OAPFF. Union leaders from all over southwest Ohio came to Beavercreek to get the latest information from the OAPFF and IAFF. It was also Secretary/Treasurer Bill Quinn's last district meeting in his home district after serving our district and the state for years, thank you Bill!

CLOSED: The eastbound lanes of U.S. 35 at the I-675 intersection are closed due to a crash involving a pedestrian. This closure is expected to last for several hours. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

ACTIVE INCIDENT- crews are on scene in the 1000 block of Hilltop Rd on a working fire. Crews report heavy fire on arrival

ACTIVE INCIDENTS - With Beavercreek crews responding to an initial structure fire in the 2300 block of New Germany Trebein Rd, a second working fire was dispatched in the 1700 block of Ken Klare Dr, thank you to our mutual aid partners Sugarcreek Twp. Professional Firefighters; IAFF Local 4175, Xenia Professional Firefighters Local 698 , Fairborn Professional Firefighters Local 1235, Kettering Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 2150, and Riverside Firefighters Local 2938

Beavercreek has countless ponds and various bodies of water. To make sure we are ready to help our crews have been refreshing their skills for ice rescue over the past few days.

With warmer weather in the upcoming forecast any ice that is out there is bound to become weaker, please stay off any ice and stay safe!

BREAKING - Crews are on scene of a large gas leak and have closed N Fairfield Rd between Dayton Xenia and Lance Rd.

BREAKING - There was an active shooter at Walmart on Pentagon Blvd. Building is now cleared and there is no threat to the public

BREAKING OVERNIGHT - 0115hrs crews responded to the Preserve at Beavercreek, a memory care living factory on Hibiscus Way for a reported fire in the kitchen.

Crews found a small fire in the kitchen that was quickly extinguished and all residents are safe and back in their rooms.

BREAKING - Crews are on scene of a ruptured gas line at the intersection of Kemp Rd and Entrada Dr. Traffic is closed in all directions. Avoid the area until repairs are made

ACTIVE INCIDENT - Multiple crews are responding to Walmart on Pentagon Blvd. Initial crews are reporting smoke throughout the building and have upgraded the incident to a working fire.

Please avoid the area to allow room for responding companies to get into the building

It's that time of year again! Don't forget to fall back one hour before you head to bed (unless you really like staying up till 2am!)

This is a great time to spend a few minutes to change your smoke and CO detector batteries. While you're at it, look for the date it was made. 10 years or older means it's time to replace them!

Overnight at 330am crews were dispatched to Honey Jane Dr on a report of a fire. Arriving crews found an attic fire that was quickly extinguished without injuries.

The homeowners were alerted to the fire by their smoke detectors, a good reminder to check your detectors regularly especially as colder weather is in the forecast and many may be firing up the furnace or fireplace this week!
