Great job by our Communications Division, Patrol Division, Traffic Enforcement Division, UAS (Drone) Division, and Criminal Investigation Division. ‼️‼️‼️‼️🚨🚨🚨
Without this TEAMWORK this repeat offender would continue to victimize these employees and businesses.
Apparently he doesn’t follow our social media. 🫣
If you see the red signs and plan on committing a crime, we STRONGLY recommend you don’t do it. 🥴🚓💨
Habitual theft suspect caught after lengthy foot pursuit! Officers were dispatched to Family Dollar in reference to a male stealing items. Officers arrived and located the suspect nearby at an apartment complex where a foot pursuit was initiated. Great job to Officer Garza and Officer Salinas who were able to locate the suspect even after he changed clothes!
Your friendly reminder!

Thank you everyone!
Thank you so much to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and all agencies involved! This truly shows how valuable partnerships are.
Let’s know where to send a care package with some Bellaire Police Department goodies 😉
On Friday, Oct. 11, at approximately 12:03 p.m. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division attempted to stop a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB on Interstate 65 near the 170 mile marker. The driver failed to stop, and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended in the northbound lane of Interstate 65 near the 192 mile marker in Autauga County. A standoff then took place between the driver and law enforcement which eventually resulted in the driver’s arrest.
The driver was later identified as Choima Agurd, 39, of Lawrenceville, Ga. Agurd was arrested
and charged with Felony Attempting to Elude and has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Agurd also has warrants through Bellaire Police Department in Texas for Aggravated Assault of a Family Member with a Gun and Aggravated Assault against a Police Officer.
ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division, State Bureau of Investigation’s (SBI), Special Agents, SWAT
Team, Hostage Negotiation Unit, Aviation Unit and Deputies with the Autauga and Chilton
County Sheriff’s Office all assisted with the pursuit, standoff and arrest. Agurd was the only
individual found in the vehicle. Nothing further is available as the investigation is ongoing.
🚨CRITICAL INCIDENT🚨
TMPA Regional Attorney Amanda Bolin is responding to an officer-involved shooting involving members of the Bellaire Police Department. Thankfully, no law enforcement officers were injured! 🙌
TMPA stands ready to support those who protect TEXAS. 💙
Our shooting suspect is now in custody after a standoff with Alabama authorities. This was a complex investigation with various layers.
This shows the importance of fostering and maintaining relationships as well as the tools to effectively investigate whatever may come our way.

Case 24-1136
On October 11, 2024 at approximately 2:30 AM Bellaire Police Dispatch received a report that a known female suspect in a Mercedes SUV was following a group of individuals in a Ford truck. The occupants of the Ford reported that the female suspect was the ex-girlfriend of a passenger and was believed to be armed with a pistol. The Ford truck arrived in front of the Bellaire Police Department at 5110 Jessamine in the apparent hopes of avoiding a confrontation with the female suspect.
As two Bellaire police officers in marked patrol cars arrived to meet with the occupants of the Ford, the female suspect circled around to the passenger side of the truck and fired several shots at the front seat passenger. A Bellaire police officer fired at the suspect vehicle as the suspect again circled around the truck. The suspect then sped away westbound on Jessamine towards Chimney Rock.
Officers rendered medical aid to the victim in the Ford truck who was struck several times. He was then transported to Ben Taub Hospital in serious condition. No other injuries were reported. At this time the female suspect is still at large.
Outstanding work by our brave men and women who serve the Bellaire community.
