Liebl is a disability advocate who works to promote the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities. She focuses on raising awareness, improving accessibility, and challenging societal barriers that individuals with disabilities face. Her efforts are often centered on creating a more equitable environment through advocacy, education, and policy work.

That's why we're proud to be part of the Community Action Coalition for Developmental Disabilities, which over the years has advocated for a huge range of important topics -- including early supports for infants and toddlers with disabilities!

Thank you to The Arc - Washington State for organizing today's legislative breakfast, to all the advocates who have supported and informed us, and to the dedicated legislators who continue fighting for inclusion for people with disabilities. 💜

Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15) starts today 💜

At Kindering, this means we continue our work on advancing our equity and inclusion goals both within the workplace and in our community. Our goal is to ensure that all children, families, and staff at Kindering can honestly say "I belong", as we work to eradicate systemic, racial, and oppressive barriers so everyone succeeds ✊

Sometimes, working at Kindering is so stinkin' cute, our communications team can barely handle it.

Today was 🌟Family Fun Day🌟! Each of our campuses came up with games, brought toys, and set up face-painting and crafts to delight our students. For many of them, this was their last day of Kindering as they graduated from services.

There's so much to celebrate and so much to thank our staff and families for. But the joy on our kids' faces pretty much says it all!

Now that we've turned the page into August, here's a fun little recap of what we did last month for July Disability Pride Month:

💜 We held two awesome events, Colors of Disability Pride and Night Out for Kindering;
💜 We engaged with local city governments on official Disability Pride Month Proclamations; and
💜 We organized an online campaign awareness campaign with fellow disability advocates and organizations!

And last but not least, our in-person events raised more than $12,000 for Kindering services!

If you supported Disability Pride Month in any way at all this year -- by sharing your story, donating, or participating in some other way -- thank you! Thank you for making our community a more inclusive place for people of all abilities.

It was such a joy hosting our Colors of Disability Pride festival yesterday at Crossroads Park! Thank you to the families, staff, and organizational partners who celebrated with us. Not only did we raise funds for Kindering, we also had the opportunity to organically connect with community members and show solidarity as part of the disability community. And of course, we also got to play with bubbles and make snow cones for kids at the park. 💜

Author, editor, and activist Elsa Sjunneson shared why is important to her while highlighting the importance of recognizing the contributions of people with disabilities to our community 💜

On June 26th, 2024, we celebrate the 34th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) -- the important civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. The purpose of the law is to make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else 🥰
