“Would you rather” icebreaker today created conversation and the students got to know eachother even more. In order to get in our groove and create the magic Beloit High School JAG-K does, we must bond and become a family. Crazy how fast it happens🤜🏻🤛🏻. Then, kindness cards were created for service learning. Good day!

What makes a leader? Today, Beloit High School JAG-K students shared what kindness meant to them, and how that among other qualities make up a solid leader. Some of these kids are gearing up for Career Association Officer elections! Leaders emerging!! Let’s go!

It was a great two days this week! Activities all day long on Thursday to acclimate back to school, then Friday was go time! Student-parent commitment forms sent home and will be turned in next week (reminder students😉). This is going to be a great year, I can feel it! We are BELOIT🧡🖤!

JAG-K Region 1

8 hours of organizing, throwing away, staring, changing things five thousand times, and landed on a classroom that is “pretty much” ready for my kids. Everything on the floors will be going up on the walls and I can’t wait to see the final product. We have a smart board, a bulletin board, and a new station that remains to be named. It’s simulates an office setting with a landline, etc. A new standard this year is when that phone rings, a student will answer it and use the GNAP (stay tuned)! We got moved down the hallway to a bigger space, with tons of storage, so that is something we needed very much. I look forward to what student led projects these kids decide on this year! A lot of amazing things are about to occur between these four walls!!

The Beloit High School JAG-K brought home the “Above and Beyond” award. The evidence gathered from our program displays our kids do just that in everything they do. So so proud and congrats!!!

Region 1! Whoop whoop!!

Excited to kick off the first night of JAG-K State Training with all of our dedicated staff with a welcome and message from our President and CEO, Mr. Chuck Knapp! This week, we will engage in a variety of breakout sessions, networking opportunities, and comprehensive training to ensure we are prepared for the upcoming school year.

JAG-K (Jobs for America's Graduates-Kansas) is committed to empowering over 6,000 JAG-K students across the state of Kansas achieve success, and this training is a crucial part of that mission!
